Double Sac dispel, Auramastery silence removal and the offhealing they provide are quite huge thing, even over the top in my opinion. The buffs Paladins recieved should have been Holy only, but somehow Rets got buffed aswell and that shouldn't be the case. Ret/Hunt/Disc was already really good setup to play, now it's even stronger. Ret's burst is more scary that Frostmages did last patch.

I am wondering, is 3dps very viable again? Ret/Hunt/DK or Rogue should be quite strong right now.

Don't think they are op, still very setup dependant and still extremely vulnerable to wizards. The pretty good synergy with hunters is kind of inflating how good people think they are since hunters are still the best class

Y I know felic liked to do that on me sometimes.

Sorry. I can't even remember doing it :D

I'm gearing my ret again though, on a side note!

If there would be any changed/nerfs to rets I'd rather let them have more sustained damage instead of insane burst. Ret survivabilty against casters is abysmal as well.. If sacred shield actually had an absorb worth mentioning that could go a long way to add some survivability.
I do not suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Um...?

Rets were literally the worst arena spec in S12 :L, did no damage outside of cooldowns, even with cooldowns it wasnt close to warriors etc.
They died in every deep or blanket silence, and the wogs healed for 25k with MS.
1 ret in the whole of EU got glad. So no, rets were not OP for the whole of MoP.

saying that rets deserve broken burst damage just because survivability is a little low is a little bit of a silly statement lol

You actually tried attacking the ret? Outside CD's, rets arent that bad. We wanted more survivability, not burst.

any wizard can just turret damage into a ret till it falls over, and any melee can just tunnel it to the ground. Burst is just slightly on the strong side and should be nerfed for more sustained damage/passive damage reduction. However IMO i'd pref a meta game where it's less cd reliant to land kills and people can disagree with it, so my opinion on it could be different...

And what did they get at the end? Both for no reason at all. As mentioned before, Ret profited from things Holy Paladins were in need off.

I'm playing my ret right now fully geared and honestly the only comp that it's decent with is a hunter. and we all know it's because the hunter. Ret's damage during cds is very high, but outside of that it's just right. it's their survivability that ultimately sucks and it's the only thing that needs tweaking. Perhaps bring back the old shield where if they get brought below 30% hp they get a shield absorb for 50k-100k on a 30 sec internal cd or something.

Honestly, I would like to see them bring back the paladin niche. I think removing auras was a bad decision, and it made us unique. Going defensive with devotion aura could have been quite fun, while using retribution aura to damage. A bit like warrior stances, yet it should be an aura that helps the team out, where it could benefit/negatively benefit the paladin a bit more.

Also letting use use a 1hander and shield would make sense, but right now there is no point. Plate hardly matters too, since everything ignores armor or is magical. Rets are worse than a cloth class at tanking melee's, this makes zero sense to me.

Why do people keep saying "but we're vulnerable to wizards!" as if it's something special? Any fucking class is.

The current season is at a very good spot balance-wise. There is a comp variety that hasn't been seen in the game since s8.

Yeah you're class must be viable with any class like S11 warlocks to be good right?
