I did a small test on a target dummy, mainly for myself, here is what I got. Thought I could share it, maybe someone is interested.

Gear was full tyrannical 493 on live and full tyrannical 496 on ptr, no procc trinkets/enchants on a belf. These numbers are without on-use trinket/wings/guardian/avenger. Inquisition was used. The sample size was big enough for me to draw a conclusion.

As a side note:
  • ​Players seem to have less resilience than in 5.2 (assuming you have full gear and gem for resilience) *needs additional testing to know how much would be possible -> Tyrannical Primal Diamond may fix it

  • Players will have a smaller % dmg increase through PvP Power than in 5.2 (which eventually negates the sword of light buff)

  • Battle Fatigue causes Rets to heal less than in 5.2 in a PvP environment (even with healing buffs)

Rephrased original post. Of course you will have more dmg reduction if you're below a certain value.

Mystic Sun's Radiance in every socket on the ptr. Missing belt buckle & weapon enchant (which won't increase resilience anymore) on the premade char. Belt would add 1 socket. A blacksmith could have an additional 2 sockets. I don't have the formula, how much % would it be if I add 3*160 rating?

(Assuming a resilience gem, 160 resilience on ptr, would grant 0.24% dmg reduction, i would end at 68.04% reduction)

I can go above 11k resilience on live, which would be 69%+ dmg reduction. I doubt i can do the same on ptr (can't try it though).

With a pure resil gem in every socket, including the two bonus sockets from BS, in addition to the new meta, it will probably be ~69% resil reduc actually. The problem is the new meta isn't that great after the nerf to PvP Power/Resil.

so this lame, poorly designed hybrid class will become more than viable, maybe even Fotm.

my hopes for next patch diminishes.

On topic,

Interesting how the offensive spells are not effected by sword of light. Any idea if hammer of wrath is effected by it? If not, divine purpose sustained could pull ahead instead of Holy Avenger + Avenging Wrath 1 shot macros versus certain comps.

says it's effected by sword of light... We might see 4 piece PvE divine purpose runs, the PvP set bonuses / power  is a close comparison to the 2 / 4 set PvE.
