Yea, good schools and healthcare and all that, but you could replicate that another place that has not-shit weather.  Like if everybody just up and decided "well fuck this" and moved out, you'd be able to have all that same good stuff elsewhere.  Guess that's not very realistic.

We were getting snow up here everyday until this past week.  It's finally starting to warm up now/snow melting.  Thought it was going to be my first May with snow on the ground.

I'm pretty surprised that you get snow in the midwest at the end of April though...

That's not too uncommon for northern parts of the Midwest, and on the whole isn't too shitty (in my opinion -- the humidity is what really bothers me though) unless tornadoes are involved.

It's not even the snow that baffles me so much.  It's the 30->80->30 temperatures swings.

Yeah, if you're not accustomed to shifts like that then it can be a bit astounding.

Also, when you made this topic, I thought we were in for another "get rid of the Midwest" thread.

Surprisingly I can't convince my friends from back home that this is unreasonable weather.  Stockholm syndrome or some shit.
