It's bad nerf for MM hunters because cranes have longer cds on stuns. So if hunter won't play for example with hpal it ll be a lil problematic. Also for BM when there will be an Orc shaman with meta gem which makes stun effect shorter (so liek 2sec stun) it ll be crap. I think they should change something maybe with SS - DR after trap, dunno, or you have to hit the cast. Or just make longer CD on trap overall - 35 maybe ok. Also good rogues etc will just wait for pet stun then disarm you / stun instantly and if you won't land it already it will be dr'd or eaten from scatter.

Why people believe hunter CC is out of control? Silence shot is 24 sec(like CS) we have 1 trap on 28 sec cd(not like most similar spells with no cd(poly) or 15 sec (rep and paralyse?). We have scatter shot on 30 sec cd and pet stun on 1 min cd(MM) and 32 sec (BM).It is completely fine and it used to be like this since cata(before that it was minus pet stun).
The way they had to nerf hunter CC was just to make BM have 1 min cd on pet stuns aswell instead of 32 sec and it's all fine.

Ye i know but it was example, what about range disarms from monk etc? every time you can get something, ye it depends from skill but i say you can't do any mistake, if you fook up somehow with stun , you wont be able to do full trap from scatter :)

Paralyze is 4 sec.
As Bm you have 1 stun + the pet's "special ability" (usually another stun - webwrap 30ish sec cd also)
You have an undispelable nova on 25 sec cd.
+readiness.

Even if you never hit a trap i'll be in about 10 sec of ranged and instant cc every 30 sec. Yeah i really wonder why people complain about hunter cc.

OT: i swear as a hpaly i eat less cc vs a mage then a hunter.

That's the reason they have cast time - since they have low or no cd. Trap also have arm time and is eatable. They can make the roots dispellable or something. And as i said they should just make pet stun on 1 min cd on all specs and pets but why would you nerf the main cc.

Edit - you need something like stun or disorent(or root + silence ) to land trap - you can't just say it is instant spell since it is hard to land trap without such setup.

Web Wrap -> Scatter -> Trap -> Silence Shot.
3 + 4 + 8 + 3 = 18


5.2 with Readiness
Web Wrap -> Scatter -> Trap -> Silence Shot -> Scatter -> Trap -> Silence Shot
3 + 4 + 8 + 3 + 2 + 4 + 1,5 = 25,5

5.3
Web Wrap -> Trap -> DR Scatter -> Silence Shot.
3 + 8 + 2 + 3 = 16


5.3 with Readiness
Web Wrap -> Trap -> Silence Shot -> Scatter -> Trap -> Silence Shot
3 + 8 + 3 + 2 + 2 +1,5 = 19,5

The difference is big when you factor in the Readiness CC a lot of hunters used. With Web Wrap not on Readiness that combination is pretty much useless. Less of an issue on top ratings but probably insanely annoying on lower ratings. It still is a decent nerf on high ratings and prevents pretty much all of the Readiness DR CC.

A good hunter doesn't play BM. Or rather, shouldn't.

Silly nerf, do not approve. Expecting and avoiding a Scatter + Trap is also a part of the few skillful things that are still in the game. They're removing that just as much as nerfing hunters cc. Either way it's bad change, there are plenty of other things to adress.
