Why west, central and east?  Please don't give me the connection argument because you can get less than 100 ms ping from almost anywhere in the US to anywhere else, unless you are using a dial up modem.  As long as you have less than 100 ms than you aren't at a disadvantage.

Im not sure how it works because I still have 200ms in bgs so it might be fine. However I get 400ms on east coast servers.

This is from aus.

I don't see the need for split US regions. Everyone plays on Tich anyway, and I guarantee you that tons of people high up on the Bloodlust ladder are from the East Coast.
Bye again! This game isn't fun when you don't know anyone else that still plays.

There were more gladiator teams each season in 2's in a single battleground at its peak than there are in the entire world put together now.
This might have much bigger implications than just needing to merge battlegroups.  Maybe people should put some thought into why participation in arenas has collapsed so hugely when subscription numbers have not--and try not to blame it on things that only matter to Gladiators or people competing for Gladiator, because only the top couple % even consider that sort of thing.

you're an idiot if u think theyre gona make the "one" bg in west coast.

if theyre commiting to one bg instead of 3 or 2 on each region, then it would be one big bg in central.

I think it would be cool to have a west/central/east ladder and then at the end ofthe season have the top 4 from each BG able to enter into a tourney or something

Well, a lot of it was the way that they made PVP weapons suck in PVE. They also made PVE weapons of the same caliber easier to get.

A good chunk of the TBC participation was people getting minimal points/week to get a weapon for PVE. Or just pushing to buying 1800 to get a weapon once they put in that rating requirement. Remember they didn't have personal rating for a while so as long as there was someone on the team that had played games (no matter at what rating), that team counted towards end of season.

That being said, even just the "real" participation HAS fallen. I'm not gonna try to explain that part.

I'll be amazed if they made 1 big ladder, imagine the amount of $$$ they make from all the sad nerds migrating everywhere whenever a season is about to end in an attempt to get r1 etc.

The current season is at a very good spot balance-wise. There is a comp variety that hasn't been seen in the game since s8.

It isn't actually that much. At most £1000 from all the transfers during the end of the season.

Now imagine how much they'd make from all the people coming back due to arena having actual activitiy.

You think it's fun to sit in 10 min queues all the time at 2.6k MMR? Or even at 2.2k+  with 6 min queues usually?

nah that certainly sucks, but I'm just saying that there are bigger problems with the pvp aspect of the game which is reducing the arena activity far more than simply having to wait a bit longer (do push ups during the queue!)

- 1)merge all the bg's into a new one.

- 2)fix the qqs

- 3)change the rewards and make people fight for something, titles/mounts/whatever

- 4)profit, but if they do that now they are still 5 seasons late

I agree, but have to start from somewhere. Fixing the issues 1 by 1 is the way to do it and that's 1 of the issues.

Now instead of kaska dominating shadowburn, he will now dominate the whole ladder.

Pretty sure its more than 50 people change servers at the end of each season. Id say a new season gives Blizzard around 200k$+++
