they removed the drain souling pets all together.

Btw I was thinking perhaps they can make warlock dots ignore resillience to some extend that wouldnt fuck up pve damage, also I've been saying this since MoP release but we really need coil/howl together like the good old times.

Apparently not. It's in the game still. I think our damage is actually really good right now, but I've only played a couple of games.

Unless I'm mistaken, drain souling shadow adds from spriests required dots to be on the target, now it's possible with simply drain soul - I thought it was going to be gone entirely too

You could drain soul shadowy apps in 5.2 as long as it died while you were draining - if your pet attacked it, it walked up to you and died, or if you cancelled drain with felflame and it was close enough for latency to give you shards.

Now you can still drain soul any pet and get it.

1. I don't expect affliction to do frost mage burst, but the amount that it contributes is pathetic, with the current state of damage vs healing.

2. I meant DPS could (and often did) sit CC, not healers.  I do think healers could certainly sit some amount of CC in Wrath.  I'm not sure if they could more or less than now, (5.2 or 5.3?) but that wasn't my point.

Ah, I understand you more now, thank you for explaining.

I don't really know where Affliction should be in terms of burst to be balanced, but yea I can agree that at least a small boost is still needed. Personally I hate the Affliction playstyle so I'm probably biased, I won't speculate any numbers. I far prefer a style where sustained damage is not emphasized at all, with all the focus on setting up CC chains/cross CC and maximizing burst in those windows.

And yea, you're right about that too. DPS did sit more CC in Wrath. Feels like the current dispel system has ruined that aspect of the game though.
Bye again! This game isn't fun when you don't know anyone else that still plays.

I haven't done 3s yet, but after a session of like 20 2v2 games, I think we should simply stay quiet from now on

The current season is at a very good spot balance-wise. There is a comp variety that hasn't been seen in the game since s8.

Does anyone have any numbers on the new Siphon Life glyph?  It heals me for about 2900, but I haven't been able to see it in PvP because I forgot to pay attention when I did battlegrounds with it and none of the Duelotar losers on my stupid roleplay server want to help me test it.  Obviously with battle fatigue it'd be ~1900, but I don't know exactly how MS effects stack up with battle fatigue (though I'd assume a further 25% down to a ~1400 tick?) and I don't know if pvp power affects the healing on it when I attack a target dummy.

Basically I really miss having passive healing and I want this glyph to be worth it over Exhaustion or -4 seconds on Teleport.

yeah we seem to be really good right now but for reasons that are different, since everyone has %65 base resil we dont have to gem resil anymore, and mastery is sick for warlocks, I have %20 more mastery atm which means %20 more dot damage. My dots hit for over 10k with haunt up, so seems pretty decent.

UA damage is great now, but the damage we take from cleaves is ridiculous.

its not a new fashion, its just all the hybrid dot teams that are playing now dot pets without even thinking about it

I actually made an appearance at DH2014 and I met up with people from twitch who were involved with the dota 2 / cs tournies that where there, I talked about the game from my perspective as a professional player and we actually shared a lot of opinions. All I'm saying is a lot of people will be VERY surprised about the future of this game in the esport world :)

Anyone else noticing that DKs are able to cleanse themselves of our magical dots? I haven't been able to figure out why

If you use fel flame on a dk who has AMS up, it'll remove the dots instead of extending their duration.  It wasn't like that in Cataclysm, so it's kind of weird.  Not sure if you mean outside of AMS, though!
