I don't think adding more CC to the other hunter specs really solves the main problem, definitely more patch notes to come.

I mean it's nice but that can only be used after multishot for 4 seconds. it hits all other targets in melee range. Not sure how that is affected by the blink strike change.

So beast has bw marks binding shot and survival entrapment. I mean I can foresee more unique abilities than that for survival ,but it's a start to not make beast the go to spec because it has everything.

Good thing this will happen in the same patch as ramps get added to Dalaran and Blade's Edge. Since explosive will be worse by itself, I don't feel so bad using it for binding shot every time.

This will REALLY help good Hunters get more traps off. Scatter is basically worthless against a good team because it broadcasts to the world that you're going for a trap. Since you can't control where the scattered dude walks, it's pretty trivial for the enemy to stand exactly on top of your freezing trap.

I've already been dropping explosive instead of freezing against teams that are overeager to eat traps, then using the pet sleep to land the actual freezing trap (benefit of this is that with good aim even perfect positioning can't eat the trap).

Now I'll have 2 ways to land the trap every 45-60 seconds, which lines up with the cooldown on traps very nicely.
Bye again! This game isn't fun when you don't know anyone else that still plays.

The minesweeper method gives you 100% trap all the time, i didnt know about this before tosans movie.

Scattershot trap target, root all with disengage, drop explosive trap. All will be knocked away except scatter target = trap.

For myself, im going with wyvern sting instead of silencing shot. Its to much downtime trying to trap vs certain teams.(I wanna do damage rawwwrr)
It also forces tremor vs shamans(If ure with a disc priest), and spriests and rets cant dispell it.
Its instant from a long distance(Except the travel time). Usually i just wait untill the healer lets his target go 80%. Wyvern sting pop cds, profit. It forces pretty much all opposite teams peels cds and trinkets.
Also, when going for the kill you can EASILY cc 2 players, with just traping the first and wyvernsting the second one.

In worst case scenario since ure missing out on a interrupt, you can also interrupt with wyvern. So i think its a very good swap. I feel like im the only hunter playing with this, i havent seen it from anyone else ive been up against.
But ofc, its still situational and i still go silencing shot sometimes.

Reason rest get knocked is because they freedom themselves to eat trap. By removing roots they get knocked whereas the healer doesn(because he is still rooted). If you notice some hunter goes for that tactic you can easily freedom your healer instead so he gets knocked away from the freezing trap^^.

Alright, i thought it was cuess the scatter mechanic prevented knockback. Not the root, its logical when you think about it. All i could see in tosans vid was that every arenatarget got knockbacked instead of the healer.

edit
looked at the vid again, and you sir are correct. They are even pre-freedomed when hes doing the snare.
Well, that rules that tactic out in some scenarios.
:D

I'm going to assume they buffed the dmg from 80% to 100% but it may not be.
