If you think that x amount of people need to be killed to quantify a thread then you are sociopathic. Hmm, 234 people died in this one, that's juuuuuuuust short of my 235 death quota for relevant thread creation. Too bad!
i dont have a quota for relevant thread creation, but there's different things that make up for a "tragedy/disaster"-subject to be worthy of a discussion, death quota being one of them.
also i didnt miss the "close to home part"

the only legit replies to this thread should be a couple of "sorry to hear that" or "i feel for you".
those replies are legit in this thread since apparently the author of it live in boston? if he doesnt and doesnt have anyone living near boston then i understood things wrong and will say that even those example-replies wouldn't be considered as legit.

No matter what they're going to try and pin it on somebody. They're going to be looking through countless photos, surveillance cameras and at everybody. Circling faces, questioning who they knew at the event, who they are, what they were doing. Imagine if a guy was casually there with a backpack full of water or some shit and he happened to put it down to go to the bathroom right before the bombs went off and he gets pinned for this entire thing and he did nothing wrong, that'd be funny.
Today: Video gets posted of a guy with a backpack.

The bomb was set off for when they knew the biggest condensed groups of runners would be passing the finish line, that is typically the average time for the marathon (3 hours after first people cross)

All of Boston is shut down, not just Watertown.
It's when the groups of charity runners typically finish in their groups.

I really don't want to be that guy, but why didn't god protect everyone else as well then?
I think what happened is horrible and the ones responsible need a lifetime of punishment, but I never understand why people who survived, or know someone who survived, bring god into it. Why would god protect you and not everyone else. Why do these people feel entitled to being saved, and the others were not entitled to the same for some reason?

I know the answer but I don't want to spoil it.

I think I know what you're on about, and I think it's the same thing I was insinuating, be it lightly.
