Do they have any idea who might've been involved yet?

Am I an awful human being or have I become desensitized over these kinds of dramatic, yet minor events in the media?

I just simply don't care anymore, and why should I?  Innocent people die, headlines. Gruesome injuries. Make a quick profit while shitting on the day of the average person with an otherwise pointless event. Who wants to hear about that shit in the news constantly? Not everything has to be about happiness and progress, but it's a telltale sign of where our society is heading when evidence of dark matter being discovered is drowned out by a tiny massacre that is infinitesimally small on the scale of the world order.

If this was a terrorist attack, then the media succeeded in accomplishing the terrorist's goal; grabbing attention and fear from everyday Americans.

I think the best part of the story was the brave action of everybody rushing to immediately help the victims involved, despite fears of additional explosions though. It's nice to see the entire spectrum of human morality cataloged in 30 brutal seconds. It puts things into perspective.
Nasty, brutish, and about 6'1".

My friend, they are long gone.
That's why there is a deleting option. You delete people you don't want to see anymore.

If the bombers are caught, they should be made to speak with some of the victims (if they're willing) who've lost limbs. I'd like to see them try and justify to a victim that somewhere in the process of realizing their belief, the target became random bystanders.

With bombings, the perpetrators don't even have to see their victims, which I guess makes them a lot easier to plot and carry out.

But really you can't blame the media for doing its job. If you want people to blame for "doing what the terrorist wants" then the next step is blaming people who watch the news reports, but then that's obviously stupid. By the time the bombing's happened the time for preventing the "spread of fear and terror" has long gone.

there was a bomb squad drill there before the explosive went off

coinciding with an actual detonation?

http://www.globalres...b-squad/5331505

this is VERY sketchy, even when watching the BBC live coverage for a disaster like  this i thought the reaction went rather swimmingly, anybody else agree?

As the Boston Globe tweeted today, “Officials: There will be a controlled explosion opposite the library within one minute as part of bomb squad activities.”

Dick Cheney orchestrated the whole thing. It's gonna be terrorists from like Bolivia or some shit 'cause he wants to take Halliburton drilling there.

I like how half of OT was making jokes about the norwegian massmurderer, but once something happens in the US,

well, God better bless America.

GR Editor’s Note.  The following report is largely based on a tweet from the Boston Globe regarding a controlled explosion on the same day of the Marathon. This information quoting the Boston Globe has so far not been confirmed by other media reports.

They're basing the whole article off of one tweet (they link it here, http://www.naturalne...ril-15-2013.jpg , imgur mirror: http://imgur.com/dqJ88OG) that was posted after everything started happening. Globalresearch.ca isn't a source I would ever recommend using, btw.

Also, 'Reports suggest explosives and shrapnel (nails, etc.) placed in pressure cookers, then hidden in duffel bags near finish line.'
