Am I an awful human being or have I become desensitized over these kinds of dramatic, yet minor events in the media?
I just simply don't care anymore, and why should I? Innocent people die, headlines. Gruesome injuries. Make a quick profit while shitting on the day of the average person with an otherwise pointless event. Who wants to hear about that shit in the news constantly? Not everything has to be about happiness and progress, but it's a telltale sign of where our society is heading when evidence of dark matter being discovered is drowned out by a tiny massacre that is infinitesimally small on the scale of the world order.
If this was a terrorist attack, then the media succeeded in accomplishing the terrorist's goal; grabbing attention and fear from everyday Americans.
I think the best part of the story was the brave action of everybody rushing to immediately help the victims involved, despite fears of additional explosions though. It's nice to see the entire spectrum of human morality cataloged in 30 brutal seconds. It puts things into perspective.
Nasty, brutish, and about 6'1".
Look at me. I can start and stop wars, at will. I can save or destroy the world. I can do anything I fucking want. Just now, I pissed near my toilet bowl because I fucking can.
