Glyphs
  • Glyph of Cheap Shot now increases the duration of Cheap Shot by 0.5 second, down from 1 second.
  • Glyph of Garrote now increases the duration of Garrote's silence effect by 1 second, down from 1.5 seconds.

Definitely not small. Might open up space for Glyph of Expose Armor instead of Cheap Shot. The glyph is extremely strong when playing with a hunter.

And rogues lose more control, they need to hurry up and remove subterfuge or SaD instead of nerfing our openers even more :/

Also, mage deep-freeze shouldnt be longer than a glyphed cheap shot..

Substantial nerf, but a good one I think. Rather they nerf this than make us less consistent by nerfing subterfuge and/or cloak & dagger.

Glyph of expose armor is a viable option, and for some comps glyph of feint will be really nice (comps where you as the rogue is most likely the main target - I mean as a permanent glyph, not like on live where you just go glyph of feint vs teams that garrote and/or CS is useless against.)

Now all we can hope for is that they buff hemo/backstab (by taking away a bit of damage from dance in some form, I guess) as well as the quality of life buff from making sanguinary vein work off of the hemo bleed as it always has before. That or make rupture actually deal damage so I don't feel so awkward "wasting" CPs on rupture and/or feel forced to garrote open if I don't want/need the silence at that time.

I dont really mind having to use rupture, i just make sure i dump the CP into rupture/SnD when dance has 15 or seconds left and i dont have to worry about it, or garrote in the SnD, I do agree that not having to worry about it would be nice though.

Also, i liked shadow focus, dont really like being forced into subterfuge, which is the talent that allows all this cc paired with CnD but as long as some classes have map wide aoe, there is no other option.

Yeah it isn't really a big problem, which is why I called it a "quality of life" buff, but it does feel really awkward, it's like they're trying to FORCE subt rogues to have to use rupture, because it's the spec theme to have bleeds. If that's true, why not make rupture actually do damage?

Also, I'm not really sure these glyph nerfs are needed. Sure, on live rogues are the #1 melee, but come 5.3 I think just leaving rogues as they are while buffing all other melees will even things out just fine, right now we actually "risk" becoming middle-of-the-pack (not bad at all, just saying I don't see as big of a need for these nerfs in 5.3, and basing the nerfs off of 5.2 rogue performance might contribute to the rollercoaster of specs being overbuffed/overnerfed every other patch.)

Also the slew of warrior buffs has me worried, statistically any season warriors are really strong, rogues drop down to middle/bottom of the pack :/ So, TBH i feel the warrior buffs should be enough to keep us in line. But regardless, im happy they nerfed the glyph instead of the base spell, maybe that slot wont feel as mandatory now :D

wish they would make hemo bleed add the bonus dmg again, having to use rupture if u want 20% dmg increase is clunky and gay

Add 15% damage reduction on recup and allow it to stack with feint so I can hear and read tears all across the game.

Good changes IMO, Rogues are the only class I can think of that can glyph for longer CC.

Still they have to make some changes to subterfuge and cloak and dagger. Cloak and dagger should have at least 5 sec cd. So if you gain some distance while rogue is dancing he wont port to you instantly.
