Feral

Savage Roar now increases physical damage done by 40%, up from 30%.

Hunter

Aspect of the Hawk now increases ranged attack power by 25%, up from 15%.

Retribution

Sword of Light now increases the damage you deal with two-handed melee weapons by 30%, up from 15%.

Enhancement
  • Lava Lash now does 300% weapon damage, up from 250%.
  • Mental Quickness now grants 65% of your attack power to spell power, up from 55%.
  • Stormstrike now does 450% weapon damage, up from 375%.
  • Stormblast now does 450% weapon damage, up from 375%.
  • Stormstrike now does 450% weapon damage, up from 375%.
  • Windfury Attack now does additional damage equal to three extra attacks with extra attack power, up from two.
Monk

Rising Sun Kick now causes all targets within 8 yards to take an increased 20% damage from your abilities for 15 sec, up from 10%.


Does anyone else think this is the last thing these classes needed? I guess there isn't enough one shotting going on atm.

The purpose of the hunter changes is exactly to remove the one shotting, you cant just link the aspect change without the rest of the changes. Ofc the aspect buff alone looks completely retarded with hunters are their current state, but together with the other changes it makes more sense (Not saying it was needed, I dont think we needed the extra attack power). But what they do is increase hunter sustain and remove one shot ability.

The aspect change was a tooltip fix awhile back they made it 25%

the 5.3 patch seems great so far, just nerf affliction damage a little bit more, their are still doing OP damage with the corruption nerf, they should nerf damage by 25% for every dots.

Enhance Ascendance is just going to be used as a sub 35% one shot execute now gg

>still no Incanter's Ward nerf

Developers are dogshit when it comes to balance pvp, always been like that since cata but it's even worse with MoP.
They are clueless about arenas and everything touching PvP. They are just great for doing PvE Raid, beautiful map, cinematics etc ...
They definitely need to recruit some trusted top pvp players as PvP developers.

2 months to fix stampede bug
5 months to fix warriors
7 months to fix shadowpriest
5 months to fix gear disparity ruining pvp
1month and half to fix mmr bug

i can continue like that for a entire page :/

My first thought was, this game is getting worse and worse with every patch as they're keep on buffing every spec here and there, while damage in the game is already very bursty and any sorts of damage buffs aren't good for PvP. Don't think blizz is aware of that. Most of these changes are for PvE as well.

After taking a look at the maximum and realistic dps rankings with BiS and lower gear, i dont understand why only these buffs were made. It would be more logical to buff elemental, enhancement, ret, shadow, balance, feral, etc dmg by a lot, to be on par with mages in PvE.

Most of these changes are for PvE purposes.

For example the Hunter changes is to buff sustain while lowering burst to help out both Pve and PvP. In Pve Hunters aren't pulling amazing numbers (Middle of the pack to last on dps), with these changes it should bring them up.

When asked over the course of three expansions why they cant mold their coefficients differently for pvp and pve, they stated they do on a very small case by  case scenario. IE cc duration. Eventually they allowed changes to numbers on CS for warriors to differ in pvp. Slowely they are heading that way with more abilities and now gear i level. I think they are very aware this is the best route to take. And the old arguement GC made of not wanting to confuse players with different sets of numbers and abilities performing differently doesnt hold up. The game is too big and bloated. And pve and pvp numbers cant exist together as the same.

I feel like speculating on these changes is way too early. They have been doing some major overhauls and I feel another is coming with these damage buffs. Everyone should just wait it out before rushing to Holinka's twitter to spout hate messages, hes been doing a great job so far.

People seem to forget the passive resilience is up to 65% and if you gem & enchant for resil you can probably reach 70%+~ =)
