1.) The Shado-Pan Talisman will be hotfixed so we can stop discussing this as trinket option. Right now it's over the top but in some days it will be gone.

2.) The onUse lines up perfectly with Shadow Dance. This is why the combination of Blacksmithing/Jewelcrafting for passive stats with the onUse is a solid combination.

3.) Synapse Springs (Engineering) are not that much weaker than the onUse trinket, do not break stealth (like the onUse trinket). The proc trinket is harder to manage but gives a lot more agility and the proc can be combined with Synapse Springs.

Yesterday I played around with the PvP proc trinket and it seems to proc very early after opening and gives a lot more burst (especially when combined with Synapse Springs).

Orc players usually use Synapse Springs + Blood Fury + Proc Trinket for their burst (is actually on par or better than Human with onUse and proc trinket).

So I'm interested in your choices and also the reason for your choice.

Yes, it's more than I had hoped for.

You get hit instead of PvP Power as passive and also lose resilience. And with 5.3 it will be even less while the proc trinket will be slightly better. Essentially you trade 1900 agility as proc and Hit vs. PvP Power and Resilience passive.

But ok, let's keep the Shado-Pan Talisman up for discussion.

I'm pretty sure that Engineering+Tailoring+Proc Trinket is the best combo for almost all classes, (replace the proc trinket for healers) with the way the game currently is.

Tailoring has to be the most underrated profession...

Tailoring procs only AP/SpellPower not Int/Agility/Strength. Sub rogues gain 30% increased agility and 5% more through Leather Specialization.

True!  But I would still argue that Tailoring is better than the next best profession, Blacksmithing (unless you want to gem resil).  Tailoring gives you a 4k AP proc for 15 seconds every minute (lines up with Dance!).  This averages out to 1k AP.  Gemmed offensively, BS gives 320*1.35=432 agi, or 864 AP.  I'm unsure of the correct agi:AP weight ratio, but lining up dances with a proc trinket + proc cloak (when you can) will give much higher bursts than the passive agi.  Even if you miss lining up your dance with the proc half or two thirds of the time, the 1/3-1/2 of the time you actually get it will be worth it, IMO.

This nerf means dick. Every TC will still roll with them and still truck damage like mongoloids through defensive cooldowns.

Even thugcleaves without the trinket are pretty out of control.  It'll take Hunters and Rogues being nerfed a bit to fix thugcleave, I think.

So is anyone arguing for the onUse trinket and Blacksmithing/Jewelcrafting?

Human using pvp proc + on use trinket with bs/jc id say its the most solid choice or Pve trinket + on use Pvp trinket and bs/jc.

With the pve trinket tho + on proc pvp trinket and engi gloves is the most cheesy choice add tailoring as the 2nd profession for the lols or bs because its simply the better overall profession for pvp atm.

The gnome trinket also has no icd so it's possible you could have 100% uptime

isn't proc+synapse paired together almost 2700 more agility difference than on use(unless you gem agility for BS sockets in which case it would be around 2300 more agility)? Seems kind of obvious to me. Proc trinket lines up very often when you want to burst since the internal is low (45s internal 20 sec buff uptime)

When rogues line up burst with proc + synapse springs it can be unreal. Seems like the scariest thing to have to survive is that scenario. so I'd say go with the proc and engineering combo.
