Hey,

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? If you get Mind-Numbing on you and cast Frostbomb, the frostbombs detonation time is somewhere around 6 seconds or so? Shouldn't Mind-Numbing only affect cast speeds and not haste?

Oh and don't ask me why I went Frostbomb against rogue..

Yeah frost bomb double dips casting speed debuffs in a sense, both the cast time and detonation time are increased. Makes frost bomb less valuable against rogues, locks, and dks. Pretty lame imo :'(.

unfortunately I think the only way to go is just play tempest, I find Frost Bomb tolerable vs DKs, but I only play tempest vs rogues

I recently started playing my rogue again and I can confirm that when you Shiv mind-numbing on, not only does the cast become longer, but also the frost bomb debuff for it to explode takes forever, well like 6 seconds anyways. And yes; it's working as intended.

How is this working as intended? Haste reduces detonationtime of Frostbomb, cast-time slow effect shouldn't affect haste?

Yea I feel the same. I love playing with Frostbomb, but Nether Tempest/Living Bomb is so effective against meleeteams that it's just hard to pass by..

think of cast time reductions as negative haste, and then it starts to make sense

Using that logic, slice and dice should increase rogue energy regeneration by 50%~. It doesn't do that. So why does casting speed reductions increase bomb explosion timer?

Well all casting debuffs have three effects on frost bomb: increases the cooldown, increases the detonation timer, and reduces the cast time. Nether tempest is better against pretty much all rogue teams. Dk's you can still play bomb against as necrotic doesn't have the same uptime as mindnumbing.

Every spell that are enhanced by haste are also negatively affected by cast time debuffs, working as intended.

does not say periodic or dots what so ever, just "casting speed"

I can't believe people are still not aware of how haste works.

Correct me if wrong, but doesn't haste say "increases your casting speed by xx" too? So how come you naturally expect it to work on DoTs and debuffs? It goes both ways.

it doesn't say "casting speed" it says "spellcasting" i dont know how you quoted it wrong when its right fucking there

"spellcasting" is the warcraft RP conceptual term for spell haste

em, no.

Finishing move that consumes combo points on any nearby target to increase melee attack speed by 40%. Lasts longer per combo point

It affects Hots from healing classes too, they tick alot slower. So no, it doesnt only affect casting speed.
