Meanwhile your arena partners can go on the hunter forcing him defensive while the rogue is doing nothing but locking a healer down.

The issue is they have a shadowpriest/mage/hunter/dk/whatever partner spamming damage into you for like 18 seconds where you can't do anything. It's obscene to be able to lock someone down for THAT long.

Yeah, there are so many Boomkins high in arena being carried by the OP vortex beam combo.

Just because a class/spec isn't prevalent doesn't mean they don't have broken or imbalanced abilities. Warlocks weren't exactly gods last season, but EVERYONE agreed blood fear had to go, monks have like 2% representation, but everyone agrees Ring of peace is stupid.

Not saying anything about boomkins, nor was I shit talking, bitching, whining or moaning about any class or class imbalance.  

What I do know is that the mechanic is a broken one. Not vortex, not vortex beam combination.  The fact that beam is basically a 30 foot fucking ring of frost that you can take 100% uptime of damage in, is untrinketable and doesn't DR with CS.  

It doesn't make boomkin op, it doesn't make boomkin comps op, HOWEVER, if this game were actually class balanced that ability combination would be the best in the game by a long shot.

I don't think that they should nerf boomkins, nerf vortex or nerf beam.  I think that with a slight change in coding the ability would be a real one however.  If you trinket a beam silence.. your team still can't come into the beam for link for example without suffering from it, you still can't trinket and freedom away if you are a pally for example because vortex will still grip you back.  It would still completely serve it's purpose from the boomkin's perspective.

dk double grip is pretty crazy i wish they would at least put a minimum range on it like charge has.. granted its a 3 second buff after the first grip most of the time they are using that second one to stop you from doing any sort of healing what so ever or just using both for interrupts.

Now that I think about it, Ursol's Vortex and Solar beam need to be looked at seriously.  Even if a moonkin didn't cast another spell in the duration of an arena match or a RBG, Vortex/Beam combo is obnoxiously broken.  You can't actually trinket vortex, or at least if you can then I'm doing it wrong.  

Somebody already said "how bout all those high rated moonkins."  Yeah how about they fix some of the problems with the class and find a way to make them viable without broken abilities that have no counter.  They already do great damage, have above average control, and all these extra obnoxious broken things.

The more I think about it the more I think they should straight up remove a lot of the garbage they added in Cataclysm - they are dumb mechanics intended for RBGs that ruin arenas and even make RBGs completely miserable to play in.

I'm talking about ring of frost, smoke bomb, solar beam, etc.

They've made some great improvements in the game, but every time they add a bunch of new abilities/talents (each expansion) they bring so many extra variables that never end up balanced.

all offensive cooldowns seem way too strong (orb, demon soul, blades) etc.

would like to see damage be less compressed into these and more sustained instead. also cloak and daggers + subterfuge synergy is absolutely retarded
