Let me know if you find any way to optimize it. The goal was to get as much haste/mastery as possible while still keeping the 6% hit cap.

Edit 1: Here is a slightly more Mastery set that Evilcow sent me:

https://www.askmrrob...76-a358940cb910

Gain some mastery and lose a small amount of int and pvp power. Good if you have already bought some of the pieces in the set.

Edit 2: Here is the Crit version of the gear set.

http://www.askmrrobo...b3-bc017b1a0626

Can swap out some of the crit for haste, not sure what a good balance is yet.

i assume this is an rbg hero build?

im 16% crit on ele with 28% haste and love life

crits on ele blast and fulminates are the only real burst in arena outside of ascendance

I was mainly planning it for peel comps or RBGS. Would be cool if someone wants to make a bursty one.

http://us.battle.net...h/Novooz/simple 1% over the hit cap and with A.S. he'd be at 27+ % haste hes tried both crit and mastery builds and said he prefers crit but it's playstyle.

I dont know about any type of simcraft so i cant help you in that aspect.

i bought spirit pieces where hit wouldve been needed because the stats are equal so why not.

The thing with that is:

Crit is already heavily devalued for Ele due to free crits on LvB. Crit is exponentially worse (?) so the less of it you have (to some degree) is worth more. Mastery on the other hand should diminish less. I also believe that haste affecting spells outscales haste affecting the gcd, so if you stack too much haste then you are hurting yourself. For this season you might get away stacking crit or haste, but next season all ele shamans will probably be forced to go a good amount of mastery and try to balance the other stats.

With that said, the goal should be something like:

6% hit (as close to 6% as possible, which I believe I did)
<20% crit
~25% haste
and the rest into mastery

It might also be worth switching to Echo of the Elements when fully geared.

Ive played around with pretty much every stat and Ive found Haste > Crit > Mastery to be the best way. I mostly play ele disc mage and ele disc balance tho where I get about 5% crit from the other dps. Haste is just the best stat without questioning, lowering gcds and it helps you get your cast off when you actually have some room. Im running about 28% haste with NS, 14% crit unbuffed and 34% mastery iirc.

Dont really need a spreadsheet for the crit haste version, just use reforgelite and buy the pieces that has haste and crit xD

I can understand the haste part. But statistically mastery's ep value is much much higher than crit. Both offer random damage increases. Mastery scales better. Why would anyone choose to get crit OVER mastery?

if you are getting trained from start to finish by a rogue your cast time is forever and can hardly cast if that, critting 130k ele blasts followed by 110k fulminates is better RNG in my opinion. good ele's in 3s act as a secondary healer, critting healing surge for 80k means swapping back offensive faster.  mastery seems like the best if you're hiding in bushes in arathi basin but from 3's games as LSD i tried both and i love the haste crit set up way more. Personal preference though

Using crit over mastery feels less RNG and also an elemental blast crit does more dmg than a noncrit eb with a noncrit proc.

I prefer Haste and Crit as well.  I've played Haste/Mastery and I definitely feel like my damage has way more of an impact if im getting more consistent crit damage from Elemental Blast and Fulms than extra Lava Burst procs.  Also dont overlook the fact that with more crit, you get more clearcasting procs, which makes for more on demand bonus offhealin or bonus damage as opposed to simply gaining it through only lava burst.

Okay, I'll go back and switch some stuff around to favor crit/haste more.
Forgot about clearcasting. I'll add that in to estimation of stat weights. Plus I'll figure that you will be healing 25% of the time.

Heres the updated Crit build. You could mess around to get more haste and less crit if you wanted.
