Yeah but go into a pve dungeon and you can probably kick the mages ass in dps.

It's so much worse.

1. Log on Mage.
2. Freeze target.
3. Cast NT.
4. Watch as it gets 100% crit from Shatter and 60% more damage from Mastery for it's full duration.

Not realistic for targeting the whole team of course, but for single target it's almost like having a Warlock channel MG for 12 seconds. Except you're spamming nukes while it happens.

I was doing same or even more damage during cataclysm on a 150k healthpool, warlocks are definitely totally broken in PvP atm, there is too much things to change to make us competitive again, i guess we will have to wait til next expansion for a fix because i really doubt blizzard will take of their times to fix warlock in pvp.

Since MoP, i feel like playing some kind of shitty private server where things aren't fixed in time.
- warriors ruined whole season before being fixed.
- hunter oneshot macro bug stood in the game for 2 months i guess ?
- mmr bug fixed like 1 month+ later
- no rings, trinkets and shit available for horde atm, gonna take them 1 month to figure this out i guess xD
- gladiator and rankone title for 70/80/85 brackets

I'd be fine if Nether Tempest damage got nerfed so long as the AoE doesn't break sheep. It's cool to compare Lock and Mage, and it's clearly EASIER to pump out damage on a Mage ATM, however that requires taking NT and the icelance glyph. Most of the bitching about mages come from the CC and Frostbomb burst, with the cleave type playstyle nothing will stay CC'd.

Also it's not quite fair how I can lose literally 30% or more of my HP from DoT's in a fear, only to be re-feared to Narnia and die there.

TLDR;

If they are to nerf NT, at least remove the sheep breaks from the splash AoE
Fear should break way easier than it does if Locks get buffed

NT was fine before the 40% buff, but yeah, the cleave damage should be 'smart' cleave instead of 'lol never polymorph' cleave damage

I don't know why Poly doesn't just get a ~1% hp damage threshold.

I think we also need to talk about the gateway. I mean whats the point of having that spell if u cant use it 70% of the time. I don't know why the cast is that long. I know its op but why not increase the cd of it and lower the cast time ?

I think Gateway should have something like 1 charge per minute with a much shorter cast time.

dudes they should just replace Archimonde's Vengeance, the most useless talent ever, with a new one called Conradical's Vengeance that buffs dots 30% and nerfs fillers X% or whatever is balanced for pve at the cost of soulburn soul swap

maybe im retarded but it sounds good in my head. if we bitch enough maybe we can get it for 5.3

Warlocks clearly just need to play a real spec, like Demonology or Destruction.

Dots are for fucking pussies, you should be cleaving and popping as many cooldowns as possible just as our lord and savior Greg Street has envisioned.

I actually tweeted ghostcrawler about this several times in the past months but he is too busy answering random questions to even bother doing anything reasonable. If the enemy knows wtf they are doing u can't get a useful gateway unless its in ruins. 14 second cd on it is ridicilous tho, if they made it like 2 second cast time and a 30-40 sec cd as well as let it charge up faster that alone might fix warlocks as we could assist our healer better.

NT isn't fine at all. it is a ridic playstyle, played by those with braincancer. everything about the spell is awful, how it always keeps you in combat (combat bug) and just in general how sad it is that mages cast less than my rogue

The state of the game is kind of ridiculous in general. There are plenty of teams where I'd rather play a different game than try and FB them. NT playstyle isn't the mage style at all, but against teams where everyone is trying to interrupt you, shiv you, etc... it's so much more fun.

Hey we think rng is bad for PVP, lets remove mace stun and others rng's

Hey lets give everyclass in the game some kind of proc (maybe 3 procs for some classes) and the game will be balanced

melee complain about mages getting casts off

melee get a fuckload more interrupts stuns and uptime on mages

mages play a spec where they hardly have to cast, most of them hate it,  because melee have so many options to shut down casters
