I found this pretty interesting.  Goes against what I was taught in highschool/uni.

Here's a quick blurb explaining it if you don't have access to scholarly articles.

probably just experimental error, but interest nonetheless.  Furthermore I guess I wouldn't classify this as negative temperatures but rather as negative or inverted Boltzmann distribution.
I'm always right.

i was under the impression that if negative temp were to exist it would result in something like an endothermic blackhole. oO

Precisely what I thought as well, in addition to having no energy.
I'm always right.

i read this couple months ago i think on IFLS (I fucking love science) on Facebook ... I think?  I dunno what else to contribute but unless it's confirmed I'd assume experimental error until proven otherwise.

i didn't understand much about the science heavy bits, but i did notice the bit about gravity losing effect. iirc gravity and matter formation has a lot(everything?) to do with the the higgs, so i'm curious what they can do in the future if this process is nullifying or counter-acting the higgs attributes.

edit: i also wonder if this will make it possible to create unnatural molecular bonds, because if so, that could be some seriously scary shit.
