So we went to this nice butcher place and got a bunch of sausages and steaks and so on.

So we've got andouille, snack sausages, chorizo. I ate an andouille uncooked figuring it was like the snack sausages, then my mom noticed one is gone and tells me you know you're supposed to cook it right?

Uh..............well it tasted good anyway.

Am I gonna die?

I don't really like Islam's afterlife, not a fan of really bright places and gold all over. Nor do I really want 11 virgins. Honestly sounds like a gangster's paradise or something, but I'm not a gangster.

I want somewhere more peaceful and relaxing.

Pork can carry trichinosis which will basically feel like you have food poisoning. Although, if you feel fine now I would say you haven't got much to worry about.

i used to eat raw meat when i was recovering from hangovers, wouldn't do that if i was living in the us though

why did you eat raw meat to recover from hangovers?

basically its luck. pork is known to have alot of bacteria due to their life style, hence why people tend to cook it fully through. if you do not feel sick within 48 hrs. you should be fine.


PS. ur probably thinking well i eat snack sausage and hot dogs raw some times. those have been pre cooked either through a smoker or w/ salt (deli meats). most likely you know this just making sure.

I guess you are still alive.  Eating raw sausages is really not a good idea, akin to eating raw hamburger.  The way the meat is grinded up allows bacteria to be spread thoroughly throughout the food which also increases the rate of growth.

Yeah I seem to've lived, didn't really notice any ill effect. I'm part hyena though so I wasn't too worried.

Joke? Raw beef is significantly less dangerous than raw poultry, raw pork is somewhere in the middle. Really the only danger is in the bacteria you might have ingested, the worst of which that you might actually ever get in the US being salmonella. At worst you'll spend two days in the hospital. Welcome to the first world.
