Hmm, interesting. Over 100k Frostbolt timed with 100k Frostbomb along with 60k Ice Lance while Orb is chewing up. I smell nerf inc Frostbolt is already doing quite nice damage on PTR

frostbolt on 5.1 live does around 20k damage means it will do 50k +- and crit for around 80 MAX And will be a good option to start casting.

Indeed its a good change, also promotes casting, tho for arenas as it is now, we barely will have a cast off, tho, for rbgs, it will be sick!

also promotes nether tempest, since cast frost bolt is much more easier and reliable than frost bomb
ofc you can do both together and get a better burst but the setup is so hard that i think everyone will go for NT.

Frostbolt on frozen targets does exactly the same damage as FoF Fingers. +53% will be insane lol

this has been on the PTR for about a week, duders.  frostbolt with no cooldowns popped crits for ~77k vs. s13 geared players.  with everything popped (damage trinket, incanter's), it crits for 110k+ haste geared, even more with mastery.  I crit a moonkin last night for more than 124k

The Freeze nerf reduces your FoF procs a fair amount, so your instant cast damage is less numerous.  We do too much damage on PTR though if we're allowed to cast.

i got hit for 250k chaos bolt yday in arena, i doubt a frost mage can throw a 250k frostbolt in your face bro

oh you ran in naked?
my chaos bolt does 60k-70k in arena depending what class i hit, even less on warriors, that's minus the dot though.

so ye it still does more, but it's pretty close lol

that's nothing new, you can do that on live to people if you're setting up/casting for 10+ seconds.
