There's a reason you don't see much Enhancement, because after their 10 seconds of glory or whatever it is, they turn into a training dummy. Every melee class/spec has the same problem except for Warriors because of their exceptional passive and active defenses. Next patch we may very well see Warriors brought down to Enhancement's current level of misery.
Teams like KFC are just too unforgiving for classes without both exceptional passive and active defense abilities. One strong active defense ability is not enough as you can see from how popular Ret pallies and WW monks are right now.
All that said, I think ring of peace is an absolutely ridiculous ability that will only make the current arena meta game worse. The same could be said for many things coming with 5.2.

longer cooldown, longer period between being able to cast it on someone again and can be dispelled. This is a good example of an ability stopping melee trains. ring of peace is dumb in the fact you can't dispel the buff, you can't do anything if you're a hybrid spell wise and it's able to be used offensively. There is no downside to ring of peace at all.

As for MWs, their healing output is insane right now, particularly in multi-target situations like RBGs. They're a pain to switch to because you have to drop them without using a stun. The reason why everyone isn't playing monks, like someone else said earlier in the thread, is because there is more overpowered stuff out there. Why level a monk from scratch, when you could just level up your 85 warrior or spriest? A lot of people don't want to learn a new class unless it is the new fotm, like DKs were in S5 and somewhat in S6.
What should be a defensive cooldown with RoP is going to be used offensively the vast majority of the time. The game suffers from too many kinds of cc, silences, interrupts, stuns, and other mechanics that just get chained back to back, last thing it needs is one more.

give it 2-4 weeks and it will be nerfed(dispellable, range, longer cd or shorter duration, i expect the last one), enough time to encourage all the fotm players to reroll a monk
