Hey, just wondering how people think Frost DK will turn out in 5.2... I know unholy seems to be making a strong comeback, possibly turning out to be better than frost but i just hope frost stays to be a decent spec through 5.2. Any input will be helpful! Cheers.

Most of the DK playerbase can't even play Frost right so I doubt we'll see loads of Unholy all of a sudden.
That aside, Frost will be a good spec just like Unholy. All that DKs really needed was 1 min cd strang off gcd, and we got that. So there you have it.

Unholy = Necrotic bubbles for 250k+
Frost = Oblit crits for 120k+

I know the spec unholy back strong, frost will still be a good spec, dk only need a Estrangulate with a Cd less time and without costs runes (but this is still a dream perhaps) consuming, no need to be giving much burst or not to take so long to kill healers in arena, and at 5, 2 will have it, the issue of spec will be a choice of each one, see no reason to treat this as a 'competition' of specs .. would have to look first to the defense of dk, it seems is buggy ..

You'd think people would be able to play it right, considering the only skill in the spec deals with survivability, peeling, and dark simulacrum.

I personally would vote for Unholy next patch. Frost has its moments, for sure, with incredible burst. However, I think it's limited to more melee cleave-ish comps, whereas Unholy can access several different fields of play.
I'm hoping to find a good Unholy DK next patch for some Scleave fun!
