Thinking of recording a few matches of 3s and whatnot and I'm wondering what program is most popular nowadays.
Obviously I have fraps but whenever I record a typical arena match which is around 4-5 mins the file comes out to be 25-30 gigs and its split into 2 minute clips.
I've been trying dxtory but whenever I hit record i get some INTL error and it crashes my WoW.
Any suggestions?
What program to use to record?

Dxtory doesn't work on the wow 64, only on 32. But it does indeed work well. Also heard Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) is a solution for recording. Its like xsplit but easier on the computer, and free.

Dxtory works fine with 64bit, that's what I use. Or you can just get OBS and set it to file output only and not stream.

Uhm just the top version from kat.ph dunno if I can link on the forum. It works fine with 64bit wow. But OBS however if you only save to file affects your pc less and has better quality.

All default codecs, all I did was change the destination folder to my second hard drive and set up audio properly

Newer versions of fraps only make a single (huuuge) file. Also, be careful with Dxtory, some of the post 2.0.111 versions crash WoW the second you hit the record button (there are millions of threads regarding this, I'm not sure if they've fixed it in the latest version).

Playclaw is also very good, I'd use Playclaw over fraps anyday just because how demanding fraps is on your computer and I have a very good computer as well.
