The release of TBC when everyone stod outside the black portal and the following few days of everyone trying to quest in hellfire with 0 mobs to kill due to the large player amount. Mostly did 40 man raids worldpvp in that one zone the first days.

gear used to not matter so much, you could get like 2400 in 2s with just weapon/oh and trinkets

EVERYONE used to S key man, even if they're super pro now, theyve done that shit at one point haha

i remember drain comps.  comps like warlock/hunter/warrior/priest/pally or double healer hunter/warr.  and then you'd have the 2345 which was the cookie cutter comp at the time.  then to counter that shit, people started running 'eurocleave', with all the non plate classes.  it was pretty sick man, now you can pretty much run any comp in 5s
