5.2 Comps Discussion

With 5.2 not far away thought it would be nice to discuss possible comps for next season?

I personally think 5.2 is gonna see a big rise in Warlocks running RLS/RLD and RLM.

Gonna be interesting to see how Windwalker Monks fit in with classes like rogue and Deathknight and possible RMP with a WW Monk instead of a rogue??

As for myself I am currently running KFC but not sure how this will turn out in 5.2 with Warrior changes. Got 2 shamans for next season so gonna try and run Warrior/x/RShaman and probably something like FotM.

Whats everyones thoughts and opinions relating to comps for 5.2?

DkLS, DkPS, RLS, RPS, MoLS, MoPS, Shatterplay, shadowplay, MLS, PHD, RHP and of course RMP.

That's about it I suppose. Replace Shaman or Pala with one another or MW Monk. Those will be the comps I'm expecting to see.

I think PHDK will be very strong with the DK buffs and the slight hunter buffs.

probably gonna see bunch of dk comps, UH is comming back mostlikely

obviously gonna be more rogues but somehow i doubt it will be the same as cata

with latest nerfs, i think nobody gonna play priest....any spec

I agree with all the comps listed above, especially PHDK.

One that I noticed was left out, and is worth mentioning would be Thugcleave.

i really aint looking forward to meeting dk teams again.

wonder how dk/monk/hpally will be or even with disc like a new vanguards

I have some first-hand insight for you on that, speaking 2.2k+ mmr games

unholy/ww/hpal is ''okay''. the pressure you get is insane, even now, but you barely have any CC to capitalize on it. It's a healer-killing comp, yet because both classes lack survival, you can't really tunnel healers. Games are long because of the buildup time for burst and when you burst, enemies will just rotate CDs and live without too much trouble.

It won't be a lot different come 5.2, but the buildups will be a bit faster at least. Also with the strangulate buff (you don't want asphyxiate in this comp) and ww survival buff, I'm expecting it to be a pretty good comp

tsg, warrior/monk/healer. Or kfc. With so much insta casts nerf, dont see a problem with wariors being dominant in 3s. Take second interupt, and with 2 "kicks" plus charges you be more than fine. But i rly look forward into tsg.

I'm looking at running rls/scleave on my lock. Ret is getting a few slight buffs, and I'm curious about it. So i might run ret/rogue/disc or ret/rogue/dru.

Lots of cc, with high pressure and good burst windows. Rogues, will have a ton of control to keep the ret/priest from getting trained, and the triple fear on swaps looks good.

Shadowcleave has always been fun to play. The only problem is that both dps are viable train targets, so you'll need a really strong healer to compensate. rls hasn't been my favorite comp to run in past seasons, but I have managed to get some of my highest ratings while half-assing it. Maybe it'll be worth it. I cant really say.

Ret/Lock/Disc is good fun. Played it to 2.1 earlier this season, so it might work next season.

Ye I ment 5.2. They're about annoying the crap out of you and then do a good burst once in a while. Much like Rogues.
