Will the 5.2 new honor gear have higher ilvl than the current malevolent gear (483) and if not will they be adjusting the pvp power/resil to compensate? I've heard that gear is possibly getting scaled down and the removal of upgrades on our current gear?

The gear on the ptr is ilvl 476 and has around 50 more pvp power and resil on each item.

I'm almost 100% positive that the new gear will have lower ilvl than the current set.

I'm not really sure whether upgrades will be kept, but my personal guess based on unofficial info gathered around the internetz is: yes.

they already stated in a blue post that the gear would have a lower ilvl so that it can't be used as pve catch up, but will be givin more PvP Power and Resil to make up for the ilvl change.

aka if you have pieces that are upgraded, they will be better, if you have pieces that aren't upgraded, the honor gear will be better despite the lower ilvl.

Aren't they removing the upgrades you've made on gear when patch hits?

Therefore the new honor gear > anything malevolent

The honnor gear should be as good as a 2/2 uppgraded armor set of s12. this to bring players to the same level.

if its not im kinda sad i mean they made this overall new system that brings everyone equal but not really?

inb4 345k hp and 15k pvp power ungemmed, gem stamina to bring hp up yo?

dont get blizz, HEY WE DONT WANT PPL TO BE UNDERGEARED.

Releases new seasons and the honnor gear is worse then the 2/2 uppgraded gear that you could obtain last season.

THis means we are back to gear issue again. jk it will be fixed once you have full conquest gear again. same issue again for those who comes back or rerolls and have to play in half honnor or so

if you read the thread i linked above, it shows how the gear is pretty much equal unless you are a healer, and we don't know how the numbers will be tuned for the final product anyways, they might tune the pvp power/resil numbers so that the gear is equal to 2/2 upgraded.  and even still, there are going to be a lot of people who aren't full 2/2 upgraded.
