I would like to know if for 5.2 Power Word: Solace will be a better choice than Mindbender (for most situations).

I tried to figure it out by myself but MB still seems to me as a way better option.

Yeah it's a valid concern.  The only problem with mindbender is, it's macro turnevil/banishable, rootable, cycloneable etc. I am not sure if macro turn evil etc are intended and we need to see how that turns out. I will try to play without mindbender, my rough estimate is that solace should not be marginally worse.
