483ilvl for the T1 Weapon is crazy low so I suppose we can assume it does?

I really like the changes overall and I think they will lead to a healthier more competetive game. My only real concerns are a potential lack of tangible milestones for people to shoot for, and the on-going prevalance of win-trading in RBG's that desprately needs to be corrected. If they take care of these issues before 5.2 goes live and the new season starts the over-arching functionality of the system should be in a great place.

Terrible changes, an 1800 team at the start of the season will be a 2200 team by the end with rating inflation. No reason to que at the beginning of the season because everybody will have equal gear by the end. So basically we will have a one week long season at the end. At least before the season was active during the first and last couple weeks. These changes only devalue accomplishment, if you played at a glad level at the beginning of the season I don't see why you should have that taken away from you simply because of the time you chose to que. The amount of time you play this game should not be a factor in the ratings your can achieve only your skill. GC really needs to walk his ass upstairs to the SC2 department and see how they do their ladders. IMO Bonus pool is a much better system than rating inflation and map preferences are really nice also.The conquest point catch up thing is actually pretty nice,and I can actually play 2 specs instead of one, fuck everything else.

I don't know if I'm wrong but basically arena is going to be completely pointless. The best way is to get a decent RBG team from the first day. Get as high as possible to get a good cap and then keep that up since RBG gives a higher RBG cap and is easier to get rating in (imo), until you got 26k CP or whatever.

I'd rather see some sort of rating decay on an inactive team rather than inflation. As far as this saying the season will only be active at the end? I don't see it being worse than it already is. Sure there is a little activity at the end of every season but that is every team trying to squeeze its way on the bubble. Where pretty much every team in the top 50% of the ladder sits out the season. That does not make ladder competition better. This will ensure that anyone that wants to keep their ladder spot will have to queue up semi consistently.

I like most of the changes but like some people said before me giving elite gear to everyone completely takes away the prestige part with having it.

Still I call it from now that EVERYONE who never got 2200 before is going to go and buy the gear just to feel special... until ofc they realise that everyone has the gear and go sadmode.
I kinda agree with giving T2 to everyone (although they don't "deserve" it) but why give them access to the cosmetic part of the whole deal?.. We, people who don't aim as high as glad, need a new "goal" we can set and I am pretty sure I'm not alone in this one = ]

You're talking about 2000-2200 bracket where you autowin if your team is simply rbg geared, obv my apm is going to be low against 2000-2200 rated teams because i'm not trying, healing is too strong vs ungeared dps.

I havn't been below 2200 in 3v3 with any geared team since getting t2. i'm not the greatest player but at least I maintain that slightly above average standard so why insult. Pretty sure i have 100% win rate against you (i can't remember exactly)

edit: And thats the whole point of these changes; slightly above average players should never be front page all season due to gear. Good changes

I think this is definitely a concern for the 5.2 gear changes.  I think everyone would like to see them add a bunch of vanity stuff (not just one 2200 enchant) to keep people interested.
