Great change
Unless they removed my 2200 fashion gear, then it's the worse change ever

Tired of helping gear up people just to have a chance to beat the top teams. Was going to quit but maybe this will fix 3v3 activity instead of just push glad /disband team culture
You have more apm backpeddling than healing.
Unbind.
People that you outplay in arena will ask you to play.
Solved.

Which takes almost all season if you got a 2.2~ cap lol. This will make the ladder more active because of the new MMR system a long with it, casuals will always feel like they're making progress.

This is my concern. I think these changes coming in 5.2 are great for the games arena/pvp community, but one of the major incentives of reaching 2200 rating was not only for the increase in stats, but also the cosmetic rewards. WoW, like most MMO's, is about chasing that carrot on a stick and I do hope they remember to roll out new cosmetic rewards with this pvp overhaul.
I am actually really surprised they made this announcement today without also including the new cosmetic rewards they have planned for the PvP community. Near the beginning of Mists of Pandaria, I believe it was Cory Stockton, who mentioned their goal was to introduce more cosmetic rewards and a larger variety of them at some point in the future for the pvp community. I think that information should have at least been mentioned today along with these changes to make the whole announcement a lot more digestible.
Anyways I think this change is great & I hope this gives Blizzard the flexibility now to start rewarding some really creative cosmetic items. This is anecdotal, but one of the reasons I believe arena in BC had more participants, who were also particpating at a higher frequency, was because rewards were incremental (1000, 1500, 1750, 2000, etc.). Compare that to now where the only milestone is 2,200 and to the casual player that might as well be 3000. I hope they bring back that tiered reward structure with this change.

I specifically like the part about buying current gear w/ honor after achieving the 27k conquest point requirement. I enjoy playing multiple specs and having to decide which pieces to buy based on the most viable spec certainly wasn't fun (e.g; marks is focused on crit, bm focuses on mastery - some pieces are better for bm, whereas others are better for marks). You'll still have to decide what pieces to buy in the first few weeks, but then you'll be able to buy the 'alternate' pieces with honor later.
woo.

2200 elite gear should be a completely different transmog-only set a la Challenge Mode gear. The recolor shit is just lazy.

Whilst i do appreciate Nada's post and attempt to bring this amazing idea to the attention of Bliz, it had been posted multiple times in some iteration on both the US and the EU forums over the past year. i think dubbing it "Nada's idea" may be a bit harsh on the US guy who originally brought the idea up, led to a large post which then got zero feedback or recognition from the blues.
The 1st time i read a version of it was:

So giving Dreamor his props for that one.

- dreadful (crafted)
- malevolent (bought for honour)
- tyrannical *normal* (bought for honour once the player reaches 27000 conquest)
- tyrannical *elite* (bought for conquest once the player reaches 27000 conquest)

I'm assuming that this means that the normal tyrannical gear will be somewhere in-between. They mention four tiers, which implies that there is a difference in stats between the two tyrannical sets.

As far as i understand it , this will make (in 5,3) it possible to farm full conquest gear by grinding bgs for honor (once you have met the 27k season earened).
I LOVE this as a hybrid class as this allowes me to simply grind out the Feral and Boomkin set after im done with the resto set and all i have to do to get T2 for feral is to buy that one for Conquest
So i would def say that this makes playing offspecs Very viable even at higher ratings.
