Yeah quite sure u can't. By default I instantly hit fade whenever I see (or did?) a psyfiend and it never avoided the fear and im sure I've always done it in time.

You can't,  that only harms your own class though(also removes your own fearward when you cast it). Good thing it doesn't harm real arena healers, it is instant fearable by turn evil macro or shock macro.

if a player is hitting you in melee range, and you place psyfiend at their healer 25 yards away, the psyfiend wont fear anything cause it tries to hit the melee player and bugs the fuck out

Yeah, I noticed psyfiend was fucking up a lot against healers, probably because of the "preferring anything attacking the priest". I went on my shaman and tested psyfiend fully.

This is with a psyfiend placed on top of me(shaman).
Doing nothing - > feared
Doing nothing, searing attacking priest - > not feared

Basically, psyfiend is preferring anything harmful to the priest, wether it's a fucking totem, hunter snake, whatever. Even if it's out of range, or not even there (recently left combat), doesn't matter. I've had arena games where one of the dps dies and the other guy leaves. Only player left in the game is a healer, I place my psyfiend right next to him and it just stands there doing nothing.

I've been successful melding the psyfiend , fade should work because it's a range attack no?

The problem with Psyfiend casting on stealthed players is the same problem that affects Spectral Guise, i.e. pets don't lose you when you stealth and they can get vision of you from really far away.

And yeah, Psyfiend's AI is completely fucked up. I can't remember the last time my Psyfiend actually feared anything.

Psyfiend is just another example of why we don't need AI in PvP. Pets don't work for shitalready.
