I want to transfer my toons to a more active pvp server and tich seems to be the best option. The only problem is that I'm on the east coast so I get 100-130 ms on tich. I'm playing casters so I know that isn't too bad in comparison to melee, but I was curious to know if it could become a problem during arenas/rbgs. I know it won't be huge but I don't really want to play there if it could become a noticeable disadvantage.

MS always will matter if it's a bit high. There will always be that time where you go ''damn, if I wouldn't've had that .2 second delay I could've feared in time to get the kill'' or something.

100 ms doesn't sound too bad though, you wouldn't really notice anything if you play with it for a while.

i play from eu on tich with 170 ms as rogue and sp lol it is not that bad

for caster high latency is less punishing (you don't need to chase hit box) but indeed there will be times where somehow you didn't manage to silence dat frost bomb or get charged throught boxes by war :x

oh and don't go to tich ally, it is really dead atm, go horde
shut up pvp guy

Yeah I was going to go horde. I knew for casters it wasn't as bad as melee and that I'd probably have to interrupt early. Seems like it'll be manageable.

If you're getting 100-130 on tich I would suspect you live in an EST zone (proximity NYC).

Tich is part of the LA server data center.

Google this: US realm list by datacenter- WoWWiki

Pick a server closer to where you live for lowest latency
