Why do you think blanket CS's are a major part of the mage class, but not others who are losing it in 5.2? As long as healer throughput is toned down by the blanket healing nerf aura I believe we could see fake casting and ultimately a higher skill cap return to arena. I really don't think blanket CS's are good for the longevity of WoW's pvp if we want to see it evolve into a more competitive e-sport.
Every healer except for druids have an AM how are you supposed to lock someone out if they just AM?? You could say oh well they don't have a million AM's... yeah you're right but healers atm don't really need to cast:
Pally: yeah funny joke, 3min am
Shaman: occasionally, 2min am
Priest: probably the most casted heals however most of their effective healing is absorbs..., 45sec am
Druid: pre-hot like a boss and tree cds, occasional regrowth here and there to stay ahead, no am
Mistweaver: cy@ healing behind pillar
Outside of deep we don't have reliable CC, nether tempest is a joke and it's what's keeping us viable in this game full of stuns and interrupts. Silence, Silencing shot, Strangulate, Spear hand strike (or w/e it's called), and Garrote are all staying in the game yet mages and warlocks lose their's? Blankets aren't the root of the problem, if you believe that they are then more of them need to be removed..
