A new social network only for gamers

Anook.com is a website that recently came out that has been gathering a lot of interest from the WoW community. The website seems to be quite similar to social networks like Facebook and Twitter with the exception that it’s solely for gamers.

Anook’s layout is very similar to Facebook however the design and certain features that Anook has definitely makes it unique. I.E. for World of Warcraft, it has a live feed of all WoW tagged posts in addition, as seen below, you can list all of your different character’s armories on one page. (As well as stats from a few other games.)



A number of well known WoW players and YouTubers have already been found on the website. (People such as Hotted, Finalrequiem, Reinhart, DiablousEU, Sensus, Elementalqt, Doomsen, etc.)

I lilke the layout of the site and have a blog there since quite some time. Interesting fact for streamers is the auto-share function, means your followers automatically see you stream. I don't think the AJ crowd is really the right audience, it's a lot more relaxed and less controversial around there. But it has something even AJ hasn't got: A downvote function.

Issues for PvP players: Characters do not display arena rating or titles but PvE progression.

Hashtags don't seem to work on the site, but @ symbols do.

And also, the site does actively show arena rating I.E. http://www.anook.com/wow/character/539
