staff should be better for healers still, but i prefer MH/OH :(

it takes 2 smites to kill a healing stream
and 5 smites to kill a healing tide

Do priests have any mana problems with full gear? Trying to decide to go staff or mh/oh

Wait is the difference between staff and mh/oh just roughly 1.5-2k mana received on rapture...that's it?

I think the change to resil and pvp power it might be safer for healers to stick to staves for the spirit.

Ehm, MH/OH > Staff since ever? Attack speed on staff is just mega slow to kill tremor/healing stream totem.

only for dps, and you dont want/need to kill tremor, if you kill the cd will be 35s~ but the shaman will kill it by himself anyway
and healing stream has 23k hp now hehe

Still highly debatable topic imo, all I can say I've ran into like 50/50 shamans using totemic projection (to throw capacitor/mana tide) and 22k hp totems aren't so frequent on my mind, so imagine a situation where you place a psyfiend, it gets a fear on shaman, he tremors and keeps tremore there cuz he wants to "immune" psyfiend's fears, and there your MH kills it in 1 second and psyfiend gets either way 4 sec fear on shaman or full fear on someone else, sounds good ain't it? But if you were using Staff you would stand still for 3 seconds trying to get that totem down and by that time your psyfiend could have died or shocked. And if you play against shaman who didn't pick a glyph for totems' hp, MH overweights staff big time, like meleeing all the totems on the run instead of casting spell on it (remember totems immune to dots, so smite/blast/spike would be faster than meleeing it with a staff). MH+OH is nobrainer imo, that little amount of spirit isn't going to do any major difference as for example killing stream/tremor in a fast way.

the spirit diference is quite huge, but idk, i dont see being faster usefull nowdays, the shaman can only drop a single totem each time, 99% of the tremor is macroed to be killed instantly (if he dont kill it, for like psyfiend crazyness, you should be happy you will be able to fear him twice after he gets tremor again) and alot of shamans are using hp on totems.

anyway i have both right now, still prefer MH /OH for dps and staff for healing, i have never find myself in a situation where i need to kill 2 totems in a row, even if i need to kill a tremor the staff do the same work as the mh

also for killing stream i almost always use holyfire
