Patch 5.2 First Impressions

We both agreed that the AoE disarm/silence from monks is far too powerful. Though it is early in the testing phase, there could be huge problems with this ability being live. It didn't appear to DR with garrote silence, so scoring kills on healers was VERY easy (monk cc on dps, rogue dance on healer + AoE silence out). The AoE silence was incredibly effective against enhancement shamans as it rendered them entirely useless.
Rogue shuriken toss is nifty, the damage from shruiken toss itself seems to vary both a lot on live and on tr. I got a shuriken toss crit for 43k along with the normal white damage it causes now. The white damage portion of it is pretty cool but definitely not groundbreaking. Preparation being baseline is pretty groundbreaking though but still doesn't fully remedy rogue durability vs the things that kill rogues the most, namely warriors/bm hunters.
Not having blanket as a mage was really annoying (especially playing 2's) as scoring kills was nearly impossible in healer/dps vs healer/dps matchups.
Also, if you are interested in playing PTR, here's a list of FAQ:
Where do I buy PvP gear? At each factions respective conquest vendor on the wall.
Why can't I gem? You need to buy a Jeweler's Kit in the city. It is on the ground level in the far back on the left hand side.
How do I actually gem? There's some server lag that makes it look like you aren't ACTUALLY gemming your gear. To gem a piece, put the respective pieces in, hit "ok" or "done" (forget what its called). Close out of the character panel entirely, pull up the panel again and gem the next piece. With every next piece you gem, the previous gem should appear.
BTW, there are no weapon chains or belt buckles as far as I'm aware. Blizzard put the level 80 belt buckle in instead of the level 90 one.
