The death knight shadow team will not be as great simply because it's very trainable, even with a holy paladin. It's very susceptible to cleavetrains and comps with a lot of crowd control for your paladin. You would do much better off with some other melee, or just substituting the DK for a caster. Optionally, just running classic shadowcleave with a warlock instead, as it's probably stronger than the shadowpriest variant.

RPS will be incredibly strong. It's already a viable comp, as it still pumps out a lot of control and heavy damage. Next patch, with major rogue buffs, it's going to be on S9 levels.

I've run RPS extensively. It doesn't have that many counters. If the team pressures your shadow, it can be hard to set up combos, but all it really takes is a full line of dots with your rogue to pop a smokebomb and they can literally 100 to 0 someone. In that sense, it can immediately turn an offensive team into a defensive one, which is one it's strengths and why it doesn't really have many counters.

Would have to completely disagree with sp/dk/hpala being weak next season. With upcoming nerfs to blanket silence and warr/ferals nerfs this comp will excel solely on that fact. Plus the unholy dk buffs that will make dks do insane pressure of the bat vs any team with gargoyle free to use and necrotics spam much sooner in the game. With start grip fear into silence/asphyxiate on the healer i see this comp high in the bracket. But ofc the big counter will be there in form of rogue/sp/healer ( rls in cata) . Sp/dk/hpala is one of the biggest counter to any meele cleave if played right with grip>fear on cd.
