So what do the 5.2 changes mean for monks, no one I've talked to knows because no one knows how monks work or what they do. Are they going to be good now?

I would honestly be willing to bet that 95+% of the people on these forums share your exact thoughts. I know I do.

WW Monks could be quite good.  ^^

Edit: Looking at the official notes now... I think there's a fair chance WW is gonna be OP :)  (as long as they don't just die to cleaves)

i cant wait for 5.2, might actually play again.  monk was my first 90 and theyre definitely one of the most fun classes to play.  nice to see theyre getting some buffs.   i only played for like 2 weeks, but the main problem i saw with them was pretty much if you didnt have chi wave bouncing, you would die instantly in a stun.  nice to see 2 defensive cds useable in a stun, 1 that breaks it.  the chi removal from tigers lust and ToK is huge too, that was always incredibly annoying to have to generate chi if you got stuck in a frost nova or something

New Level 60 Talent: Ring of Peace
  • Ring of Peace forms a 8 yard Sanctuary around the target for 8 seconds, causing all enemies in the area of effect to be silenced and disarmed.
  • New Windwalker and Brewmaster ability added at level 30: Nimble Brew. Nimble Brew removes all stun, fear, and root effects, and reduces the duration of those effects if they are re-applied by 60% for 6 seconds. It has a 2 minute cooldown.

Paralysis is now a physical, non-magical effect, and can no longer be dispelled, grounded or reflected, and its base range has been increased to 20 yards.

And it's physical so it's basically a blind on a 15 second cooldown lol.

New Level 75 Ability: Storm, Earth and Fire
  • The Windwalker can summon up to two elemental duplicates that mirror damaging abilities that the Monk uses while they are active. For each spirit summoned, the Monk's damage is reduced: 1 spirit causes the Monk and the spirit to deal 60% of the Monk's normal damage, while 2 spirits will cause the Monk and both active spirits to deal 40% of the Monk's normal damage. Each spirit lasts until the ability is canceled, or that spirit's target dies or otherwise becomes unavailabl

so can someone correct me if im wrong and dumb with math here, but is this like 20% increased dmg over all right?  just 60%+60%  or 40+40+40 to be 120% dmg.  is that how it would work or am i just retarded
