KEEP IN MIND THOSE ARE DATAMINED CHANGES ON THE PTR. NOT LIVE AND PROBLY NOT FINAL CHANGES & most of those changes are tooltip/random stuff they want to test and shit.

Deep FreezeSpells which benefit from Shatter will break this effect.


  • Arcane Missiles Arcane Missiles' damage is increased by 24% per Arcane Charge. 25% per Arcane Charge.
  • Deep Freeze Spells which benefit from Shatter will break this effect.
  • Frost Bomb After 6 After 4 sec, the bomb explodes, dealing (3,286 + 246.2% of SP) Frost damage to the primary target, and (1,643 + 123.1% of SP) Frost damage to all other targets within 10 yds.
  • Frostbolt Heals your Water Elemental for (1,511 + 145.2% of SP). 1,613 + 155.0% of SP).
  • Hotfix Passive (New)
Talents
  • Blazing Speed May only be activated after taking a melee or spell hit, or after you kill an enemy that yields experience or honor.
  • Cold Snap When activated, this spell finishes the cooldown of your Ice Block, Frost Nova, and Cone of Cold spells. Instantly restores 30% of your health. When activated, this spell finishes the cooldown of your Ice Block, Frost Nova, and Cone of Cold spells, and heals you for 15% of your maximum health.
  • Frost Bomb After 6 After 4 sec, the bomb explodes, dealing (3,286 + 246.2% of SP) Frost damage to the primary target, and (1,643 + 123.1% of SP) Frost damage to all other targets within 10 yds.
  • Greater Invisibility 2.5 1.5 min cooldown.
  • Ice Floes 60 45 sec cooldown.
  • Ring of Frost Limit 10. targets.
  • Rune of Power While standing in your own Rune of Power, your mana regeneration is increased by 100% 75% and your spell damage is increased by 15%.
  • Scorch 0.1% 3.5% of Base Mana.
Arcane
  • Arcane Barrage Arcane Barrage's damage is increased by 24% 25% per Arcane Charge, and it hits 1 additional nearby targets per Arcane Charge for 50% damage.
  • Arcane Blast Arcane Blast's damage is increased by 24% 25% per Arcane Charge, and its mana cost is increased by 125% per Arcane Charge. 75% per Arcane Charge.1.5% 1.666667% of Base Mana.
  • Arcane Charge Arcane Blast's damage is increased by 24% 25% per charge, and its mana cost increased by 125% per charge. 75% per charge. Arcane Missiles' damage is increased by 24% per charge. 25% per charge. Arcane Barrage's damage is increased by 24% 25% per charge, and it hits 1 additional nearby targets per charge for 50% damage.

  • Hotfix Passive (New)
Fire
  • Critical Mass Multiplies the critical strike chance of your Fireball, Frostfire Bolt, Pyroblast, and Scorch by 2.0. 1.0.
  • Hotfix Passive (New)
  • Inferno Blast Upon impact, it spreads any Pyroblast, Ignite, and Combustion effects to up to 2 3 nearby enemy targets within 10 yards.
  • Mastery: Ignite Your target burns for an additional 12% over 4 sec of the total direct damage caused by your Fireball, Frostfire Bolt, Inferno Blast, Scorch, and Pyroblast.
Frost
  • Frostbolt Launches a bolt of frost at the enemy, causing (1,301 + 125.0% 1,614 + 155.0% of SP) Frost damage and slowing movement speed by 50% for 15 sec. Also causes the target to take an additional 5% damage from your Frostbolt and Ice Lance, and your Water Elemental's Waterbolt and Water Jet, stacking up to 3 times.
  • Hotfix Passive (New)
  • Summon Water Elemental Casting Frostbolt on your Water Elemental will heal it for (1,511 + 145.2% of SP). 1,613 + 155.0% of SP).
Major Glyphs
  • Glyph of Inferno Blast Your Fire Blast and Inferno Blast spells now also spread Living Bomb, cause Frost Bomb to instantly explode, and cause Nether Tempest to instantly fire its secondary damage at all nearby targets. Your Inferno Blast spell spreads Pyroblast, Ignite, and Combustion to 1 additional target.

i'm thinking this definitely cannot be the full case, if so, deep freeze becomes strictly a cc spell, seeing as all of our spells benefit from shatter.

They also buffed frostbolt damage to what it is now with 3 stack up but also took it off the 15% increased damage buff, so it essentially is buffed by about 3k damage.

wierd changes really, all around, and really crap

i  personally want to cast again, but that wont be possible until interrupts get nerfed, including our own.  Having a 20 second Counterspell is ridiculous, and I would rather have a different set bonus.


Casting should be a thing in this game, and was one of the reasons i enjoyed wotlk so much.

I'm not sure how to nerf interrupts, possibly a DR like cc?  But something needs to happen so every class can cast again.

patch notes updated, nothing in the notes about deep breaking on shatter, definitely some interesting changes, frostbolt damage buffed by 24% which is still not a lot.

  • Invocation now removes Evocation cooldown and reduces its channeling time and duration by 50%. A completed Evocation now grants 15% increased damage (was 25%) for 1 minute (was 40 seconds) after an Evocation is completed. Passive mana regeneration is reduced by 50% only while Invoker's Energy is active.
  • Greater Invisibility now has a 90 second cooldown (was 2.5 minutes).
  • Frostbolt cast by Mirror Image now deals 50% more damage.
  • Improved Counterspell has been removed.
  • Glyph of Fire Blast has been replaced with Glyph of Inferno Blast. Glyph of Inferno Blast causes damage over time effects spread by Inferno Blast to spread to 1 additional target.
  • Blazing Speed can now be triggered at will.
  • Cold Snap now heals the Mage for 15% of maximum health when used (was 30%).
  • Ice Floes now has a 45 second cooldown (was 1 minute).
  • Scorch now costs 3.5% of base mana (was 0.1%).
  • Arcane
    • Arcane Blast mana cost has been increased to 1.66667% of base mana (was 1.5%).
  • Frost
    • Frostbolt now deals 24% more damage, but its debuff no longer increases subsequent Frostbolt damage.
    • Water Elemental
      • Freeze no longer does damage, and only provides Fingers of Frost on a successful freeze.


invocation becomes god mode in my mind, especially with the new channel speed increase.


looks like no more blanket cs for any classes except priest/dk

with invo btw spellsteal becomes retard spammable again as you can just spam it to 0 mana and then 1 tick evo your mana back to full.

From what I understand i'm under the impression that they've already reverted the deep freeze nerf.  This blanket silence nerf thing still sucks though :/

so long mage resto druid x, ccing opponents (melee cleave) for more then 8 seconds was clearly the most broken thing with this game

deep change almost surely was just some random datamined shit that was never even part of the real notes, unless they are doing something stealthy, we won't really know until the ptr comes out.  but i plan on rerolling anyways as i haven't liked the mage class since cata, its not fun, and i want my WotLK playstyle back.  They pretty much made frost which is the only spec i liked a dot and instant cast class, or a frost bomb and instant cast class, niether of them are fun to me anymore.  /shrug
