I am *this* close to unbinding spirit shell, or at least moving it from the highly prestigious F2 key to a more appropriate CTL-R bind.

There are still a few months for potential Disc buffs.

I'm hoping they also do something to increase Shadow's skill cap, too, though I have very low hopes, because the spec has historically been derpy.

they did it to mages with timewarp. made mages have "no" level 85 ability.

shadow has always been weird to me, because in wotlk it felt like we had a ton of equally viable options to choose from in many situations (defensive, offensive etc).
cata those options were still available, but due to removal of targetted dispel and addition of dispel to all healers, mindlessly pumping damage was often a better answer to situations than offheals, peels, or good dispels.
I havent played a ton of mop arena yet but it feels like between the removal of shadow word death, addition of a cooldown to dispel, and game mechanics in general, pumping damage is pretty much the best answer to anything as shadow right now.

ill play one game and do some good plays/nice peels and offheals to get through the enemy teams cooldowns and just barely live, then play them again and just pump damage instead with way better results. maybe its like that for every class though :(

  • We are considering making the glyphs of Desperation and Inner Focus passive for Discipline.
  • We did not buff PvP Power for healer damage as we did for DPS healing. However, we believe that Discipline specifically might need more damage. One potential solution is to nerf Atonement healing but raise damage so there is no net healing change.

  • - We are going to nerf Divine Aegis for Prayer of Healing, but also lower the cost of Power Word: Shield (for Disc only) and increase the healing and damage of Penance.
  • Angelic Bulwark and Spirit Shell can no longer be dispelled.
  • - The 4pc PvP bonus for healing priests has changed: Reduces the cooldown of Chakra by 25 sec and during Spirit Shell, Flash Heal costs 50% less mana.
Few other great changes - Except that the current 4 Piece bonus is  better than the one above - since mana will not be an issue next patch.

What do you mean, mana wont be an issue?
I think with all thease buffs disc will not only be playable again, it will be downright overpowered..

We will be overpowered when our flash heal starts healing the same amount as shamans healing surge. It's actually so retarded that we are the healing class that has to cast the most spells yet our heals suck, doing 40-55k normal flash heals is so sick.

I believe Mana won't be an issue for a few reasons :

1) Rapture is getting buffed - and scales better and better the more gear you get
2) Disct gets 30% dmg reduction instead of 20% - so  able to gem even more spirit rather than resil
3) They are reducing the cost of shields

No. In 5.2: Spirit Shell no longer benefits from Mastery, and now properly includes the benefits of Divine Aegis and critical effect chance.

Spirit shell flash heal will heal for the same as non-spirit shell flash heal, on average. With the current 5.2 changes, SShell will just change the affected heals into absorbs, and will also be a significant mana efficiency cooldown if you use flash heal during it.

Crap. Well atleast if desperation and inner focus glyphs do become baseline we can pick other glyphs that help with the healing output, like pom glyph or smth.. and since penance gets buffed that helps too. And if we get that dmg buff they mentioned I really don't see any reason to whine about discs anymore

remember the cataclysm bug where vamp touch dispel DRed itself and psychic horror? they took an entire season to fix that simple bug.

idk how they make the same mistake again, is sin and punishment getting fixed any time soon? is that in any notes?

great changes.
hope the glyph changes are still in the pipeline though, they're worth more than the 4pc change.
Seems that we'll be able to go heavy haste next season.
