I think affliction survivability is pretty bad at the moment, and we need some form of damage mitigation buff like shadowpriests and moonkins. In previous expansions demon armor coupled with soul link and passive healing from siphon life, haunt and drain life helped significantly and we have none of that anymore, except drain life but its not used nearly as much as we need to malefic grasp. Passive survivability for locks needs to go up, reduce damage from demon soul and grimoire of sacrifice for pve, and this should allow the damage of dots to be buffed without hurting overall dps to much. Dependency on haunt is to much as well, and in the current game with 1 dispel and everything's gone, its a bit of a clunky mechanic and I think should be reworked.

Good thing they changed blood fear, but the reduced tremor totem CD with totemic restoration talent definetly needs to go in this case.

How can you make an unreliable defensive cooldown take 20% of your total HP is beyond me
The talent should just make your Fear on frost school instead of shadow, so ppl have to pick between interrupting damage or controls
About the lore on warlock and the other tier, call it Coldblood fear, make it so it cost 1% of your HP, problem solved

Wish they'd replaced it with something different rather than nerfing it to a point where only clueless people would take it though.
It's now an unreliable, single-target howl of terror on twice the cooldown that costs 90k hp to cast.
Why not just replace the talent entirely?
Kinda curious why aff and demo survivability were nerfed though, along with an aff damage nerf. They really ruined affliction for MoP. Unsatisfying to play, dumbed down and weak. Wtb WotLK affliction back.
If aff PvE damage was too high, then why not remove Drain Soul from GoSac instead?

-Sacrificial Pact now requires the pet to sacrifice 25% of its health to activate (was 50%).
So there's a chance it's not meant to change the amount shielded, but just the amount it sacrifices. Which is actually a great direction to change it, but still doesn't help it work better with grimoire of sacrifice
-Glyph of Soul Shards has been removed, and its effects are now baseline for Affliction Warlocks.
Makes it a buff, gives us another glyph slot... might leave this one empty. Maybe if instead of adding the glyph of drain life they gave us healing from a spell we actually use.....

I believe it is still 200% of the amount sacrificed as a shield, so 25% of the pets' health is a 50% nerf on the entire shield's absorb.
