if that is the case, then deep will only be used for cc seeing as all of our spells are used by shatter, finding it hard to believe thats the real change

afflic does not have the dmg or the defense to tank while getting fears.

no cc
no dmg
no way its possible vs any team with a brain.

granted im extremely glad they gutted blood fear, but still they need to enable us to fear. I know destro and and demo have wayyyyyyyyyy better tools to stay alive, but afflic certainly does not. Hell even demo and destro will have a near impossible time getting fears, but for afflic it just wont be possible. I take the most absurd dmg as afflic in 3s and there is now  way i can stop kiting for one sec to juke and juke to land a fear. I would be dead so fast.

they actually lowered our dmg and our defense. I dont know what to say honestly.

I was going to make a topic but i'll post what I have here instead.

I know it is only temporary but the projected changes for warlocks are mostly nerfs with only small, potentially meaningless buffs.

Blood Fear  While active, any time an enemy melee attack deals damage to the caster they will become afflicted by Fear. Replaces Fear. 1 charge. Lasts 60 sec.  20% of Total Health. 30 sec cooldown.

While most people think blood fear is broken, and I agree, it has been nerfed abysmally without compensating. This new mechanic sounds horrendous, losing normal fear for a 30s cd that costs 20% of your life to potentially fear a pet ? If it works as I assume no warlock will ever even consider it.
/e my bad you don't actually lose fear, but it still sounds horrible.

Grimoire of Sacrifice (Affliction) You sacrifice your demon to gain one of its abilities, increase the power of many of your single target spells by 25% to 50% 20% to 45% and regenerate 2% of maximum health every 5 sec.

A nerf to single target damage of this talent is actually reasonable if they compensate dot damage.

Sacrificial Pact Your demon sacrifices half 25% of its current health to shield its master for 200% of the sacrificed health.

Warlock survivability nerf.

Spell Lock Silences the enemy for 3 sec. If used on a casting target, it will counter the enemy's spellcast, preventing any spell from that school of magic from being cast for 6 sec. Counters an enemy's spellcast, preventing any spell from that school of magic from being cast for 6 sec.

It doesn't even silence anymore? I hope this is a mistake.

Glyph of Drain Life Increases your maximum Soul Shards by 1. Increases the healing of your Drain Life by 30%.

Removing glyph of soul shards to gain 30% drain life healing. While drain life needed a buff I don't know if this is the best way to do it.

Glyph of Ember Tap Increases your maximum Burning Embers by 1. Increases the healing of your Ember Tap by 50%.

I already think ember tap was strong, I don't know if this change is well thought out.

I hope that these notes aren't final, but it appears we're just only getting nerfed.  I can't see any buffs?

I guess it'll be all Unbound Will + 2x damage trinkets in 5.2, maybe?

o and since they destroyed blood fear (great change) THEY NEED TO FIX the other 2. Burning rush is a totallllllllllllllll joke and unbound will just takes away too much hp.

These changes are horrible...cant see the nerf on surv? since its really hard to survive while getting trained atm...Blood fear is fine, would love to see some compensate dmg buffs...

These are mostly nerfs, blood fear can be considered a meaningless buff since you can still get instant fears off without having to replace your castable fear?

Nerfing our damage with sac nerf, we already don't have target killing capabilities

Nerfing our survivability with sacrificial pact, which we already die through it.

Nerfing enfeeblement on melee targets which is what gave us the most trouble.

If these changes go through in 5.2, warlocks will be officially the worst class.

Blood Fear change:
I'm all for reworking Blood Fear but this is not the answer.

Grim of Sac change:
PvE change - Affliction is the top spec in PvE atm, so this is why that's in there

Spell Lock change:
If this goes through mage blanket also needs to be removed.

Just FYI, Enfeeblement is already -10% physical damage on player targets.  This is just a tooltip update.  I do agree that if nothing else happens to Warlocks besides these changes, (which I kinda doubt, but who knows) we will be maybe/probably the worst class.

the changes for a lot of classes seem really shitty, i hope this is jsut a really sloppy early datamine and not anything close to what its gonna be.  unless they plan on drastically reducing everyones damage and then maybe reducing healing more, warlocks got nerfed even more, bunch of other nerfs everywhere else, random buffs.  wierd patch so far



maybe one of these days the game will be played in a wounded state.

I wish they could just remove horrible, unfun abilities, instead of having to nerf everything else about a class to compensate for those horrible, unfun abilities.  But at least they got Blood Fear!

Our counter spell basically got ruined as well, apparently we land a cs or it's as if it got grounded? Not sure how that will work.

But I seriously hope they start revamping and we start seeing some buffs, warlocks are pretty much in the dirt at the moment.

I can't find a single good change? Blood Fear nerf sure, but what they changed it to is totally stupid. Looking at these patch notes, it's like I don't even play this game..

deep will now break if you do any frostspell that does dmg on it(if it crits, well 50% passive y is gna break)
