I would agree with you to the fact that men but also women are controlled by our hormones. However, women seem to show stronger emotions for sadness, desperation, joy etc. which I believe are amplified by female hormones.

That's because estrogen features all those emotions. Men are usually a lot more aggresive than women are. We're also a lot stronger, thanks to our testosterone. Did you not learn that in biology class? Of course the hormones don't have the same effect, because then women and men would almost be equal.
Have you ever been as far as biochemical processes in your brain related to the way we think decided to do look more like?
