Yeah, if only I'd attached an al jazeera link
Not Fascists you say? Here are the following ways in which AQ behaves in a Fascist way:
They teach the embittered and the ill-educated that nothing is their fault, they then projects the hatred of embittered and the ill-educated onto vulnerable or imagined targets that are almost exclusively civillian. It preaches a fundamental anti-Semitic conspiracy theory. It uses killing squads. It can only maintain momentum by the continual export of violence. It fuses cult and religious power with state power. It destroys and prohibits art and science. It would base its society on one reading of one book which would make that society totalitarian in the literal sense; where everything not prohibited is compulsory and everything not compulsory is prohibited.
In short, AQ is a Fascist movement.

confusing the ill-educated into hating imaginary targets? read your own post
this is sort of pointless because i never said they weren't facists, just that the 9/11 attacks were retaliatory (something someone may call fact.) it is therefore also fact that without us involvement 9/11 wouldn't have happened, and that chain can be continued until the present day. ceasing involvement in the middle east ceases their violence against americans.
the methods and ideology of the al qaeda are far beyond indefensible, but that doesn't change that fact.
You directly implied they were't Fascists just as you imply that Obama is a Fascist. These two quotes are evidence of that:
9/11 merely the retaliation to American Foreign policy and nothing else you say? Leaving aside the fact that AQ believe The US to be run by a cabal of Jews and all the implications a belief like this would have I'd like to draw your attention to this quote:
"It was written in their Koran, that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every mussulman who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise. He said, also, that the man who was the first to board a vessel had one slave over and above his share, and that when they sprang to the deck of an enemy's ship, every sailor held a dagger in each hand and a third in his mouth; which usually struck such terror into the foe that they cried out for quarter at once."
Made in 1785 by Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdrahaman as a response to America asking what ground of the pretensions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury"
AQ members speak in this way. What do you think it says about a group uses language almost identical to that used by Islamic pirates some 200 years ago?

What makes you believe AQ would stop hostilities if America

if the us withdrew from the middle east, retaliatory attacks would cease because they wouldn't want retribution. this doesn't need to be complicated. retribution itself is an awful thing, but that's irrelevant.
