As we all know, we still have a lot of countries around the world, where weed isn't legal, what do you guys think, do you smoke it yourself? And what do you think about legalizing it? :)

I don't smoke anything, but I do know that weed has never killed anyone.

Why not, gay marriage is legal (I think) and it can be more harmful than weed (your anus gets loosened :D)

What in the fuck kind of question is this? What in the fuck has keeping it illegal done? The only conceivable reason to keep it illegal is because I honestly cannot think of a single person that smokes more than once a day that isn't just a horrendous person to spend time around. And that's a horrible reason.

Marijuana is a gateway drug to a life of living in the gutter and killing people for heroin. Didn't you guys have DARE in school?

Yes. It's natural and people smoke it anyways, legal or not, and the fact it would be sold in trustworthy places without any toxic substances added is a big plus. Would put a brake on the ridiculous hashish crap aswell

that's a missconception, it doesn't open doors to anything... I never took any substance that was modified in a lab, and hopefully will never do. You can't blame it on weed the fact you are a meth head or heroin junkie, you would end up doing them anyways wether weed existed or not

The fact it's illegal makes it worse in my opinion, there are not a lot of medical problems associated with regular weed (no i don't have a source fuck off). but the fact that it's illegal makes people think "oh im doing something bad, something illegal" which can then lead on to doing more and more "illegal" stuff like MDMA/Ket/coke etc. if they were smoking weed and just thinking "yeah this is fine, this is regular loads of people do this" there may be less of a chance of them using weed as a gateway to other shit

and ^ weed isnt' addictive

Misleading chart. It tracks the over-time spending against the drug-war with the annual rate of drug addiction. There's plenty of legitimate arguments and facts and figures for the wasted spending of the drug war, but comparing a total over-time amount to an annual amount is just dumb. It makes the annual spending look incredibly over-inflated.

I misread the poll question cause I wasn't fully paying attention. Read it as illegal.

Health issues aside, 'cause that horse has been beaten, what bothers me with drug laws is the criminalization of, other wise, law obeying citizens. Should I have to always be on my toes, avoiding police, just because I enjoy being high? Whats the point of chasing and harassing people who aren't causing any trouble.

Me, along with my friends, slowly became outcasts in our town, as our smoking progressed. This was not due to the drug itself, but the laws, and the public view of cannabis. Due to criminal records, received from smoking, I'm not allowed to get a drivers license.

These are consequences that are rarely brought up, yet, I think, very important.

I feel for you. This is why programs like DARE need more funding so children can be educated better about drug abuse.
