No.
Are you sure about that ? Because items bought with an item as a currency keeps the upgrades of the first item. I.e. Upgraded t1 -> upgraded t2'
from mmo-champion!

If you upgrade the Regular Season 12 Malevolent gear twice and then say you get 2200 and upgrade to the elite, does your upgrades you already made to the previous gear remain or do you now have to spend additional conquest to upgrade the 2200 gear twice now?
They remain. If a piece of gear is used as currency for a new piece of gear, upgrades are preserved. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Obviously you haven't had your whole team wiped by two frost mages, in an RBG. And I mean literally.

Bomb is a huge problem, but that's not because of upgrading weapons. It's because their damage is retarded and they can solve it by buffing resilience by a considerable amount while nerfing mage mastery against players. Or at least make it so healers can dispel a lot more often. Having the ability to remove deeps, bombs, and other garbage a lot more quickly would help a lot. Maybe glyph that reduces the CD on healer dispels but only removes one effect.

The glyph would make them run themselves OoM. Not a bright idea.

Just came back to game a week or so ago not fully informed on all these new stats. Is the extra PvP power worth it?
Asking because all of the posts regarding weapon upgrades I see are about melee classes

For melee is a different story since the weapon upgrade gives them more dps and higher max/min dmg so it's "bigger" than some more main stat / pvp power etc.

First of all! PvP power scales very badly for a healer so in raw healing output int gives more! as explained in.
http://www.arenajunk...er-for-rdruids/ (thank minpojke for this <3)
My brain thinking
Stricktly looking at the spellpower gain of t2 it was +400 and that I cannot gain from dreadful (with upgrade) -> that epic set.
altho you have to consider that the upgrade costed me 1500 conquest points, these points is alittle bit more expensive then a ring and dreadful->epic ring does not give a great stat boost.
if you take a look forexample at dreadful belt->malevolent belt the stat increase from (upgraded) dreadful is 124 int.
So it goes down to numbers if we now check t1->t1.2 in (int/pvp power/spellpower) we get.
Numbers
weapon t1->t1.2 (gain)
+47 int
+424 spellpower
+368 pvp power
Belt! dreadful(with upgrade)->malevolent (without upgrade)
+124 int
+22 pvp power
The increase of spellpower is quite large but on the other hand the int bonus of belt upgrade is quite large also. Personaly I think (not sure) that the raw spellpower increase of t1.2 will give more healing output then upgrading belt. Considering the cost!
TLDR: I think its better to upgrade t1-->t1.2 then buying a malevolent item considering the cost!
