Eh, you can definitely get it to tick way higher than that with all your cooldowns rolling. But point aside. It doesn't ingore armor because it's still based off your weapon hits. Which are effected by armor. I've also believe it double dips on resilience reductions? As in it reduces your strike damage and then the bleed caused off that is again reduced by resilience.

I've only used it a few times, but I just don't see it being worth using over Avatar.

Maybe in pve, but I can't see a 20k+ tick in pvp, maybe someone can prove me wrong, I'd love to eat my own words, but atm avatar just seems better (like you said).

Could this be the case Blizzard was trying to accomplish? That they are actually both viable? Surely they have their own strenghts and weaknesses but in the end I would call both of them viable.

with everything up i average 16-19k ticks on plate, 24-29k ticks on clothies

personally I've been using bloodbath a lot lately as a standard running war/spriest/rsham vs top teams on tich 22-2300mmr;switching to avatar vs most god comps for the root break. I don't usually pay attention to the ticks but its def enough pressure to stunlock and force big defensive cds without having to waste reck/banner. Also been switching out charges and shouts depending on what we're facing, usually double time> warbringer for mage teams and staggering shout> disrupting shout vs melee cleaves so that I can shut down their burst by rooting with either bloodbath or cleaving both targets with hindering strikes glyph. Although I miss the mongoloid damage spikes from avatar I agree with whoever said before that bloodbath is like more sneaky, and people that are waiting for their gladiatorsa addon to say "avatar" before reacting to a burst can be forced into making some game-breaking mistakes.

i just tried out bloodbath on an owl with 61% dmg reduction from resilience.
ms crit for 67379 created 6x 3369 ticks of bloodbath. (6x 3369)/67379 = 0,3000044524.. thats 30%, no resilience double dipping.

I dont understand how Stormbolt is in the same tier of talents as Ava and Bloodbath, just doesn't feel comparable. It should be there instead of Dragon Roar in shockwave tier, and even then, it would pale in comparison to shockwave.

I agree, storm bolt and bladestorm need to swap places and bladestorm could use a buff. Maybe with a bleed effect or something. That would make more sense.

BB seems useful for running biheals, gives more sustained dps for mana burning, with the new 1min use trinket.. aint a bad option.
Avatar or stormbolt for 2dps setups tho

I usually run Bloodbath when i'm playing Warr/spriest/x comboes,but Avatar imho is much better when playing something like KFC/Kitty.

Yeah well actually blizzard made a pretty good job on those last talents, because all of them have a different utility in arenas depending on your comp or on the ennemy comp...

Not like the shockwave/bladestorm/dragon roar and second wind/impeding victory/enraged regeneration that all need some serious changes
