i actually have see so many shadow priests with the free mind spike talent  which it gives u an instant mind blast with (Glyph ofc)

i have also seen many sp using the mindbender pet talent!


and i saw only a few ppls   with the Shadow word insanity talent!

the dmg  is around 40-50k       and ofc it does more dmg but depends on gear

soo my question is what do u think about it and what are you using

as you can only use it when SW:P wears off, i don't think it's worth it. The mindspikes you get from "From The Darkness Comes Light" do similar damage and helps getting more controlled burst and s-orbs... so yeah, i'd go for the mindspike-proc-thingy

with 5.1 insanity gets around 50% more spellpower scaling, im gonna give it a try since it can crit on live for 140k with trinkets

It is not listed on the official notes and this is the first time i've heard of it.
It was hotfix buffed some time ago and it was listed on mmo-champion as a spellchange but it was only a tooltip update for the hotfix. It won't be buffed with 5.1.

Shadow Word: Insanity is still a bad talent and should be reworked.

Patch 5.1 PTR - Build 16139

Shadow Word: Insanity now does 3043 + 290.0% of SP damage, up from 2550 + 243.0% of SP.

its from 11.10.2012.

e: nvm it seems to be the update for the hotfix.

Insanity can crit 100K+ in arena

inb4 my SP mate oneshots a healer when we are not even on that target
