ITT: Music To Listen To When You Have Transcented Into a Higher State of Mind

This is my thread
In this thread everyone posts music
No albums please, no one downloads them anyway when posted
I will start with my favorites:
1. Can - Future Days
This is perhaps my favorite song when I'm high. The drumming aswell and the base are revolutionary; The music creates a soundscape that sends your mind on a trip into space. It's a completely unique experience that everyone should have!
2. The Velvet Underground - Venus in Furns
Lou Reeds poetry consisting of sado-masochism, drug abuse and urbanism combined with John Cales screeching viola, great drumming from Maureen Tucker and heavily distorted guitars and a striking baseline this masterpiece of late 60' psychedelia manages to send shockwaves through your body. It's as dark as it's beautiful and definitely a enjoyable listen.
3. Flying Lotus - Intro / A Cosmic Drama
The nephew of John Coltrane, gifted producer and creator of electronic music. This is as trippy as it gets. Has a really nice progression and uses lots of interesting samples.
4. Slint - Breadcrumb Trail
Opener to their legendary album 'Spiderland', this was perhaps the most influencial band for the entire post-rock genre. The riff is extremely catchy and memorable, definitely one of my favorites.
5. Sonic Youth - Teenage Riot
The most driving song I've ever heard. It grabs you from the first second and enver lets you go. Sweet noisy guitarplay and Thruston Moores excellent vocals make this a great listen.
6. Deerhunter - Twilight at Carbon Lake
Mah favorite psoter John Sliver showed this to me. It's from my favorite shoe-gaze album of all times, Microcastle. It has an amazing build-up and crescendo. The guitars lost their typical sound to a point where you can almost not recognize them anymore. The vocals are haunting, 'Go to a parking lot - Sit down and cry / You'll never know why' heavily affcets you, even if you're not familiar with what the songs background is. You should, though, because it makes it even greater.
7. The Doors - End of The Night
No other song manages to capture the atmosphere of night as well as this one does. Jim Morrison's seducing vocals, the organ and the droney guitar blend fit together perfectly.
8. Boards of Canada - Telephatic Workshop
The perfect night music. I highly recommend the entire album Music Has The Right to Children, it's one of my favorite ambient albums ever.
9. Madvillian - Meatgrinder
Godly collaboration of rapper MF Doom and producer Madlib. The beat is extremely catchy but also relaxing. Doom's flow is always spot on, one could say it's 'chill'.
10. The Olivia Tremor Control - A Sleepy Company
My second favorite piece of the entire Elephant 6 Collective . John Lennon-esque vocals combined with the early neo-psychedelia electronic sound melt together in a volcano and explode onto the listener.
It was kind of an effort to do this so I'd appreciate if you atleast give it a listen.I'm pretty sure there's something everyone would enjoy. I'll post more in this thread later. xox

Two: all contaminated things and events are unsatisfactory.
Three: all phenomena are empty and selfless.
And four: Nirvana is true peace.

my friend loves telling a story where he saw them live, and there was a black guy who was trying to watch them from the front row and mosh, the lead singer stopped playing midway thru a song. Just dead stopped, and stared at him.
"Boy, what the fuck are you doing so near me. Get to the back of the fucking venue. I dont want to see no goddamn negros watching me play music. I dont want to fucking see you. Im serious. Get the fuck out of here. You stupid jungle cunt." etc etc etc
The black dude walked to the back of the place like he was told, and when my friend asked him if he was bothered by it the black dude said he'd done that before to them at a different show and didn't mind lol
weird people, man.
