the game has been overcomplicated way too much, there is far too many cooldowns / instant cc's now. everyone is basically a houdini and can escape using one of their 10 defensives

People aren't complaining. They simply want to see a change in playstyle. These are the same players who have been playing warlock for years. It's pretty reasonably that they are upset that their class feels nothing like the play style from previous expansions.
