So as the topic says, do you guys think Resto Shaman will still be the healer to play with in 3v3 or will Holy pala / Rdruid overtake the crown?

Overall I would say paladin would be best next patch, they pretty much never have to cast, double freedom and double bop are hugely good, plus they arguably have the best CC out of any now. Druid is not far behind though.

That said, I don't think Shaman will be particularly bad, they just are forced to play certain comps so they can survive being trained/swapped on constantly.

mld (hi undispellable demon soul) or Shatreeplay will rule.
Shamans are simple to counter after the patch and paladins don't stand much chance vs mages.

I'm hoping the focused will changes give priests enough survivability to run something like warrior/feral or enhance/feral with a disc (maybe rmp?), which with a well timed mass dispel will drop a mage in seconds. But even focused will won't stop priests getting destroyed by paladin kitty cleave or tsg.

Should be interesting watching the fallout from it. My last shred of hope (leveled my second shaman and ignored my druid, cba leveling and starting to gear a new char now) is that RMP becomes decent once more so i can watch some nail biting games in the future.

Resto druid will probably be the best healer if the shaman nerf actually goes through. Lets be serious wizards make cake of paladins. Also with less shamans that's less double purge against druids which makes hots more effective to heal with.

paladin no question. shamans will be stuck playing something stupid with double off healer to make up for the fact that they will all die without being able to play their character

shamans will need more support than before, but they will still be the best healer.

nowadays they survive almost everything without any great support, so every DPS can go super offensive without taking care of their healer...after patch 5.1 u need to watch out for your healer much more...thats my opinion.

Sums up my thoughts.

Spriests tied with shamans will still be very powerful, no matter the third. Spriests can provide just enough support for shamans to become near invincible (when played well), althought after the patch they should hopefully die slightly easier.

Its a weird nerf to shamans, I would have assumed they would go after mastery, but the totem thing was nice.

I think Druids/Pallies, and maybe monks will all be very viable though. As far as healers go this expansion, minus priests, they all seem fairly close-ish.

shaman still have amazing throughput and interrupts/cds, they'll still be by far the best class
